It’s December 1st in god how did we get here already what the hell. No it can’t be the end of the year. Well it is so cue more Christmas films.

i would recommend not seeing 4 films in 8 days thats difficult oh my god by head by the end of it was like so did Matt Damon upset Christopher Plumber in front of Marky Mark? you know it didnt quite all blur into one but it was interesting. Its done now though. & next week im not going to the cinema at all so this week has made up for that.

It wasnt that busy actually in the cinema maybe everyone was Christmas shopping i dunno, okay 4:50 is a weird time for a film but you know.

Trailers was Star Wars (yes please) Ferdinand (still cant believe John Cena is a talking bull) Coco (which looks really odd but its Disney so will make me cry) & the greatest showman (love the Jackman) why is showman out on boxing day i want to go see it this means i either need to stay in town after work at a weird time or come back into town or not see it argh!

So the film then started… & it was really good & a very clever way of re telling the Christmas carol. very clever.

Dan Stevens is becoming a proper leading man at the moment he really is. His only issue is hes kept getting cast as period people or in ridiculous fancy dress. Let him be himself again like he is in colossal. Hes really good though his mood swings as Dickens are fantastic.

Christopher Plumber was on form as Scrooge, he really was. The fact that he had to play the figure of Dickens imagination, & Scrooge & talk back to him was brilliant. Loved it. Really wanted just deserts to happen.

Johnathan Pryce Simon Callow & Miriam Margolyes were all good but all were under used especially Johnathan. As much as it was a rebuilding relationships film for Christmas, he could have put more warmth into his performance.

I like the fact that you have various different storys on the go. Its very good maybe not so for little kids if your going to take them they will be going hang on what happened there thats not right is it.

I also love the fact that all the characters in the book him imagines to life & they just form in his study & follow him around.

It has got a proper Christmas message though of caring for everyone & inspiring all those around you & to keep you level headed no matter where you come from always be grateful.

Solid film, a good way to start of the Christmas films. Also 4 good films in 8 day thats a first & a good roll for the odeon. Muppet Christmas Carol is still the best version of a Christmas Carol though.
