Film 3 this week (its should have been 4 but i wasnt feeling it the other day) so its time for Channing to Tatum up & dance through toys r us as the roofman. Bring on the carnage.
For a 8:30 thursdays showing in the smallest Cineworld screen is say its got about 20 millennial & about 10 people older than us, which isnt too bad at all. Also its weird that this screen is the one i go to least, its very odd.
Trailers, Regretting you, now you see me, wicked, whatever the choir one is with ralph finnes.
& then the film started… Yea that was almost excatly what i wanted that to be.
Okay how did i not know Ben Mendelsohn was in this film & then that he was not just a good guy but a happy singing pastor?! Like what the fuck. I mean it means i win at life but ahhh i was not expecting him to turn up at all. Hehe.
Im going to have to get my little flag out to wave for the Channing Tatum fan club arent i. He is underrated as an actor he really is. He switches it up from time to time but when he does what hes good at its hard to watch him in the film hes in. Hes really owning it & we need more people to cast him as more than just the hot guy.
Thats not to detract from anyone else support him in this film. Everyone had their moments where you were like oooh how is this going to go now this has happened. They all delivered too.
This was nostalgia filled though. The retro old school McDonalds were very good. & obviously hiding in a Toys R Us. Plus some of the stuff being sold too, like the original Sims & how those shops used to be laid out. It made me feel like a little kid again. & lets be honest who wasnt a child & dreamed of being locked in a toy shop over night. Dont lie peoples you all did, if you didnt i feel very very sorry for you.
Does this count as a heist movie? Is a robber just the same thing? Im counting it. Im a sucker for these. Im also a big fan of when its a real life story as well, its very clever. Even though you have a rough idea about how it will be ending its very clever.
Did he learn how to get out of prison like in Logan Lucky… i bloody love that movie (another underrated performance from Tatum).
I did feel like we dragged out the end a little there were a couple of obvious places where it could have ended before it actually did but we kept going. It just made it feel a little less movie if that makes sense.
I laughed a lot, especially when he was mucking about in the shop & when he almost got caught & with the found family he had. He was just a sweet kind person who was down on his luck & turned to crime to try & help his family out bless him.
You will have such a good time watching this. You will smile & feel sad & it will be good for your soul. Yea give this a chance peoples for sure.
