Everything is awesome, yep were going off award season for a day or so time for some lego, and some batman. What could possibly go wrong.

First of all i would like to say a huge hello & thank you to Conner, who works at the Brighton Odeon & was checking tickets to let people in. The group in front of me was a family set up ( or a couple of families) with about 5 kids aged between 4 to 11 who were all buzzing about the film. Conner had some banter with the kids & told them it was a brilliant film, and that batman is so funny, and gave them their goodie bags. So off they all went all smiles up the stairs almost bouncing up. So then i stand there & hand over my ticket & limitless card & say evening, and he goes aww shame your not a kid or havent got one with you otherwise you could have some goodie bags. I said nah that was okay. He then said would i like the ticket holder getting the free oscar film, i said that was very kind but with limitless, i dont get the free movie. He agreed that that was a bit off & then said hang on iv got some posters here, let me take your limitless details & see what you could have as a freebee. After 2mins he leans into the bag & produces a star trek beyond poster. Bless him he didnt have to do that but i think he felt a bit sorry that i dont get any freebees when i go to the cinema. He then wished me a good evening & said, that the film was hilarious & there were going to be lots of in jokes.

Then got in the cinema sat there & the kid in front (different family to earlier) said the following which im quoting as i text my mum it as i was so woooooooo at it. Why do you have to watch & have adverts at the cinema, your already paying for the film. Its not like they need more of there money as if we like the advert the money isnt going to the cinema. The kids got a point you know. He then wanted to know what the difference between premier & standard seats was but at this point his parents were listening. I wanted to go & explain to this kid the reason why for all his questions, but thought that would just be a bit creepy.

The kid did have a point though with the adverts, he was almost foreshadowing what happened, which was 45 minutes of fucking adverts & trailers. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!!!!! no wonder kids lose attention when watching films, fuck off. Thats nearly half the length of the bloody film. I dont want to know about girl guides day or the pepper pig is having a cinema experience. I was actually at the point where a trailer for hidden figures may have saved me & thats saying a lot.

It was 75% full the cinema which for a wednesday late eve was pretty good mainly adults, but there were about 6 familys.

It was hilarious. So many epic in jokes, that just made all the adults laugh, i was belly laughing at one point something was so clever.

The fact that when he watched films its actual real films of Jerry Maguire. Yay loved that.

The opening credits with the logos & narration & dramatic noise & then reading yes lets take the piss out of more films this way please.

Also the fact they kept saying were not going to talk about what you did last year. hehe but that nod to adam west with the retro clips & the kaboom kapow bits was amazing. Loved it.

Also Ralph Finnes Alfred standing upto Voldemort… going well this is awkward, loved that.

The Cos-Play reference… that was it that was what made me belly laugh yes that was it.

Its very predictable, as are most kid films these day, but that didnt matter at all. It probably made it more enjoyable.

It was a brilliant not to whacky films with good morals for kids & also as an adult makes you think about what is most important in life.

Someone this week when reviewing Fifty Shades Darker said if you want to go & see an eccentric lonely depressed billionaire play boy in a mask who goes around thinking he owns the place, you should go & see Lego Batman instead… i agree with them. Well worth the time absolutely brilliant. Lego now have a working formula, stay with it guys.
