Another Thursday night at the cinema for some Award season Drama. Yes im here to watch the Banshees & see if it is worth the standing ovations its received. I really really hope so.

But first of all i turned up & got my coffee order & what happened. Well i started explaining it & the guy went ooooh wait wait wait & then red his notes & said do i put your name on the cup or Grogu? I said well Din would be more appropriate & they then said you have Spoken. 2mins later my Mando coffee was ready & given to me buy someone else who called out my name & then said this is the way. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS FINALLY SOMEONE NEW AT STARBUCKS HAS GOT IT RIGHT! Issue is its now getting a bit chilly for that coffee order & im gonna start brining my own now. Sorry guys maybe if i come straight from work i will.

Its a half full screening. Id say main age group was millennials to late 50s. not many people younger than 25 there & no one clearly in there 60s. So im guessing all the other award season collectors with me. Which is always good.

Trailers Opp, She Said (yes) Living (yes) Bones & All (yes) Matilda (yes) & ooooh what was it. What was the bloody film ahh the weird new John Hamm films cant remember what it was called tho… but it looked fun. Ill have a google…

& then the film started… Welcome to Award Season peoples, its going to be wild & epic & so much fun ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

If youve been here for a while, you know i may very well be the founding member of the Colin Farrell deserves an oscar for everything fan club. If your new well now you know. So i am biased… however that all being said… GIVE COLIN FARRELL AN OSCAR FOR THIS BLOODY MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!PLEASE!
I know hes not the favourite at the moment to win it, its Brendan for The Whale. I mean those eyebrows acted better than some leading men & women ive seen this year & they are eyebrows from crying out loud.
I welled up at his performance a few times, audible went oooooh once & cried. So yea good luck Brendan, your really going to have to give one of the greatest performances of all time to win this & beat Colin. Absolutely phenomenal. We riot if theres no nomination right…

& thats not to say that Gleeson was bad. Oh god no. He was phenomenal too. Such a brilliant person for Colin to bounce off & it really did feel like two friends falling out with each other. It was a brilliant relationship & then not a relationship. Seriously stunning. Barry & Kerry were also amazing too.

I love that Dog, especially in the bit where it runs off with the sheers just like nope mate, no finger chopping off today. Even the dog knew that was a bit far. So adorable.

Everyone in their life at some point needs an emotional support Donkey i think. Well if like that one, it was sooooooooooo sweet & awwwwwwwwwwwww (would insert that gif{if you know me you know the gif}).

I laughed a few time too. There were some very clever one lines or things mentioned earlier which were then referenced back which i chuckled at. Very clever in that respect especially for a serious award season movie.

The guy behind the bar & the other guy in the bar just repeating everything the entire time, they were brilliant. First time i was like well thats irritating but by the third i was like ahhh i get it yes keep it up guys please.

Some properly lush cinematography & close up & Ariel shots. Especially the one with the dandelion & bee that was beautiful. Unfortunately i dont know enough about the islands of Ireland or the Irish civil war. Thats my fault sorry peoples.

There were some very disturbing bits in the film too, including domestic & emotional abuse before e got to any mutilation threatening & then yea ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Someone did walk out of the screening at one point & i was like really thats too much for you. They clearly werent apart of the 24 generation to watch all of that, ive seen much worse than that.

When was the last time you hid behind a wall to avoid someone.

I got beach envy too. I love my beach & the bay but we have pebbles no sand. So yea i looked at that beach & felt jealous.

I loved every second of the film i really did. & the is the official start of award season. I had a lush emotional but fascinating night & i am going to recommend this to everyone. Its well worth a watch for some absolutely phenomenal performances. I know its oscars & award season bate, but it bloody works.
