Time for some Monday Night Super Hero SmackDown with the Rock. I mean could i sell that any better, probably not. But thats what im gonna do. Yea we are gonna boss this Rocky & live out my 10 year old dream as the Rock was my superhero.

Its pretty full here Im very happy about that. I mean it only opened at the weekend so a monday 8pm showing should be packed. It is mainly millennials a few the gen bellow but its mainly us millennials. Although the guys in the row in front of me talked throughout the entire opening 20mins of the film & recorded part of the ending on their phone. I as i left before them tried to go tell someone at cineworld but there was no one there.

Trailers… Opp (yea im now calling it that now) Avatar (nah) Shazam (yes) Black Panther (yes) Matilda (yes) & the Menu (odd choice but yes) What a set of trailers. I mean it is a pain when the film starts 30mins after the advertised time tho. That does get on my wick.

& then the film started… & if im honest im a bit disappointed rocky. Im sorry i am.

It was going okay & was fun & over the top & all over the place & then the villain, turned into the proper villain & then he had a throne which turned into CGI sky beam & went into the sky & caused havoc. & then we had the DC generic finale of Act 3 show down. & arghhhhhhhhhhhhh i was so angry. I thought we were past this now DC but obviously not. So disappointed in you.

The Rock is good, however there was too much CGI laying of the SmackDown on Candy Asses, & not enough actual SmackDown if you get me. As generation Rocky who grew up with him on my tv on friday nights beating the crap out of people, i anted a bit more actual Rock if you get me. I mean his CGI fights were better than the sky beam & his aura as Black Adam was stunning. He nailed the role but i hope he sticks around in DC a bit longer to have some more character development in the modern world. Also i want to now see Black Adam vs Peace Maker… Anyone else…

The was a nice little nod with the in film cameos of peoples from DC that was nice. & then Mid Credits. I messaged a friend the second after it happened going get your arse to the cinema girl shits going to go down. She was very happy & i think if id have told her in person shed have screamed at me.

There were a few clichés for super hero films that werent dealt with well & then there were some where it bossed it especially when it came to killing Hench me. That was bloody hilarious.

So who are the Justice Division? Did i get that right? Well they were good, but they were only there for life lessons at points. Brosnan, well if he did all that stuff im calling bullshite on that. The flash forwards were clever & really well done. I liked that. I just didnt care about them enough to care that they werent full heroes if you get me or if they made it out alive or not. wasnt hyped by them.

I like that we didnt leap all around the world for the sake of it. That was nice. Especially with his powers easy for them to throw him all over the place, but no we kept the story true to its origin roots.

I know super hero films arent meant to be well written but there were points where it felt a little lazy. Even some of the jokes were like really.

Dont touch electricity, im an electrician, ahhhh.

All kids have a secret hide out or escape place dont they now in film (again).

It was fun. Im glad ive seen it, but it was mid level. I mean i will watch it again, but probably with a very large cider & a fuck ton of popcorn to get me through it. ITs worth your time peoples but its nothing ground breaking. Its a mid tier popcorn blockbuster if you get me.
