So thats the award season basically over for another year. it was fun dont get me wrong i enjoyed watching all those films, its hard to get them all in though. But were now back to normal with the cinema & films that i need to see as i really want to see them not because i think i have to.

Im sure when my boss originally said years ago before i even started that we are to finish early on a friday, that they didnt realise how good this would be in years to come for me for cinema times. Happy Days. A 4:55 start for Logan is perfect, its a long film so at least this may get me home by 8pm.

It came out on wednesday, so i wasnt surprised when screen 5 was 80% full. I did feel a little out of place i would say 70% of the cinema were grown men all like yea wolverine hes going to kick the shit out of everything. It didnt bother me really but is a very good point for later on in my review.

Trailers, fast 8 looks ok but iv not seen the rest do i need to see the rest or just 6 & 7. Ghost in a Shell Nah sorry as much as im sure Scarlet nails it i cant buy into that. Kong nope still not sold, every time i see the trailer i just yell at Tom to run as far away from that film as possible. Why Tom Why!!!

Then the new like 48 hour old Guardians Trailer came on & the cinema erupted into yes’ & giggles & deep breaths. I know theres a huge chance of this as everyone is there to see a super hero film, but it genuinely was togetherness in joy right there. Trust me i know about this i got a football every-week i know what that feels like.

So film time WOW!

can i just leave it as that my review… no oh man

It was everything i wanted it to be for the grittiness the violence the blood the story the set up the past present & future. It was all there this is how you make a dark gritty super hero film. I was worried going into it that it wasnt going to be but it delivered.

We’ve know for a little while that Hugh Jackman is hanging up his Claws & that this was his last trip, but oh man what a final trip. He nailed it in every respect. His perfect goodbye after 17 years.

Everyone else in the film upped there game too, Stewart, Merchant ( who still had his normal accent which really was nice actually) Even Grant(spoiler sorry) wasnt just like he had been placed there he was good.  & X24 hmmm yea you need to see it for that.

I cried three times so much so that i think i need to see the last 5mins again just to check that i saw it right & that it really was that emotional. Okay welling up again now im typing this. Oh you remember i mentioned all the blokes in the cinema too, id say most of them cried at the end too. They as well were saying good buy to a large part of there life.

Its a good stand alone film, as well as being apart of a much bigger world, but its so different from all the rest of Marvel & x-men too.

Its to early to hit my famous golden buzzer for film of the year in march but im reserving the right to do it. This was just amazing.

Thank you Hugh Jackman for always making me cry, you will always be my Logan.
