I knew there was a reason to have a sister… hehe. Joking… not really. 3:40am wake ups for F1 are interesting for sure, especially when its a race like that. But shes also half way to the Crawley IMAX, so here i am after going back to sleep not ready to watch dune part 2 on a ginormous screen.

Its pretty packed in here still. I was a little bit concerned i wouldnt get a ticket in a good spot if im honest & then i remember how big an IMAX auditorium is & i was okay.

Trailers, civil war, planet of the apes, fall guy, book of clarence, borderland & for the first time Furiosa. yes i stopped to watch that it was rather intense & i hadnt caught up on it from the week. It looks so so so good.

The Dark sun visuals are so spectacular. On a first viewing you realise the world is different that you dont truly appreciate it. But on round two, the stark & bleakness of it is quite jarring. I love it, so so so much.

When Timothee shouts SILENCE! in IMAX everyone jolted, that was worth the money 100%. I mean the rest of it was too, but that was so so good. Goosebumps all over the body.

Javier Bardem, outstanding. I want whatever he was on (even if it was spice) but he is so much more on a second viewing too. That is the problem with this film, everyone is just too fucking good in it & the story doesnt need to work with them but damn he was elite. It was incredible. He needs an oscar nomination for that, i dont care that the world wants Butler to have one, him being a fanatic was insane & so mesmerising. He stayed with his beliefs’ & he owned them.

Im still a little bit amazed how little blood there is for such a violent film. Theres a few scars on people & a little bit of torture, but considering we knew the tone we were going to get, it scales the actual grimness back at points, which is a clever way of doing it. Very good editing decision.

Walken is now looking extremely old he is im afraid to say. He is the films weak link. But he is playing a weak old man. But it wasnt just him acting like that im afraid to say.

Why is Florence Pugh never anyone’s first choice for a partner? Little Women, Dune 2, Oppenheimer, Fighting with my family (im pushing it there but if youve seen it you will understand about the story). What is up with these people, especially the men? Hell even Midsommar he didnt want her really, he wanted shot. Urgh. Someone love Flo or me & the Perdo group chat girls will.

Its still more than got it peoples. I really dont know why other people think they can compete with this come the Oscars. I cant hit my golden buzzer yet, but if anything else wants to be a contender for 2024, its got to match this & Iron Claw, so good luck to the rest of you.
