Im sorry i didnt see this opening day or even weekend. Ive been busy & then i wanted to see the monday film for a small amount so this was genuinely my first opportunity to go & see Wakanda Forever. I had a friend on saturday while we were out going what do you mean ive not been yet. But i think in screen X this is going to be a bit magical. Perfect way to start off my annual leave for sure.

Theres a lot of people paying for screen x. Id say its half full which considering we are a good way through opening week is still good (wonder if you get meerkat money off for screen x) id say it was mainly millennials like me at it. A few larger groups with all gens of the family at it, but as far as couples of 1s it was definitely my demographic.

I am actually just genuinely happy i got to the cinema alive if im honest. We’ve had some horrible weather since well my birthday if im honest. My sleep pattern is so fucked due to waking up to lighting so much, i know i know but you live by the beach Emile you should expect this, it wasnt this bad last year. So yea its rained & they are digging up all of the roads near where i am or on the way to the cinema so it takes a while to get there anyhow, so my drive to the cinema on wednesday night due to wind rain lightning flooding & road works was 55min (it should take 33mins if its a slow day) yea not fun. I am glad to lose myself in this film, i need some chill. I even drove the long way home from this, to avoid the bad weather & 3 sets of road works.

Trailers Opp, Matilda(yes) Mario(the more i see it the more i think yea) Avatar(no) the Menu (yes) Whitneys movie (yes) & there was one more but i cant remember oooh what was it urghhhhhh oooh creed 3 that was it. All in the special screen x screen too hehe. Adverts & trailers were 30mins long for a film that 2h35 thats a long time.

& then the film started… Oh that was perfect & exactly, other than 2 things, what i expected. Oh that is some movie.

Do not ask me how much i cried watching this. The opening, the silent logo. moments throughout & the end. Bloody hell. I mean i know i love a cry but fuck. Yea i almost ran out of tissues. Especially at the opening. That was so emotional. It was crazy. It was also weird watching the Marvel Logo & then just hearing various sniffs & sobs & deep breaths from around the room. The last time it was the audible & that silent with crying was when i went to see Call me by your name & we all blubbered our eyes out as Timothee went through all the stages of grief. It bloody hurt. I did get home & tell my family i bloody loved them.

Some of the set pieces were absolutely incredible, because as much as this was a tribute film, it was still part of stage 4 of the MCU & was the 2nd to last thing we are getting in phase 4, so it still had to deliver with the rest of it. & obviously the final showdown was epic, but the bit on the bridge oh thats spectacular. Your in for a real treat when you get to that bit peoples, i loved it & was on the edge of my seat going oh wow.

I love how Black Panther always showcases the right people & the girls just bossing it was brilliant. It didnt felt forced or like it was a second plan for this film. It was so organic & cool & everyone bossed it. That being said Michaela Cole could have been used better. If shes sticking around the MCU i hope she gets a better crack at this than just that. Shes so much potential.

My sister & i both agreed before i went as to who we thought the new Black Panther would be, but we got it wrong. I mean it was the obvious case, & they did a very good job but yea ours would have been more of a curve ball.

It missed Daniel. It did. Not that he was that huge in the first, it did miss him. I mean we got Nope out of it so im not gonna complain too much. The film also used Martin Freeman for exposition & just to move something small along. Im sure with the MCU thats part of something much bigger still to come, but it just felt a little odd.

There was a very nice surprise. I was not expecting that. Thank you internet & peoples for not spoiling it in those few days i hadnt seen it.

That under water city was so beautiful. Oh my it was stunning. It felt so smooth & like it could be real. It just oozed class & style. I wanted to get gills. & the story behind it, amazing.

The villain, very clever. For the MCU very clever in deed. Lots of prospects going forward & very stylish. Also very hot. I loved his origin story & his development across the film. Seriously MCU well done for not doing what you usually do when you create good bad guys. Im looking forward to more of this in phase 5.

I know the MCU films are for kids & teens at the end of the day, but what a brilliant way to teach kids different grief process & how people cope with them in different ways. It was very clever how it dealt with that & im glad it did. We all do grieve differently. I mean something happened to me the other day & i txt my sister & she was like oh god yea i think of that quite a lot. Its important to grieve peoples & we all have to do it in our own ways.

The score & the songs as usual for Black Panther were just so on point. When Stormzy came on(being brits) all the audience kind of sat up a bit more like yes mate nail this. It was so well balance it really was.

One mid credit scene which is so important. No end credits tho.

So as far as a super Hero & MCU film, that is bloody amazing. As far as a legacy & importance film, its stunning. & as far as a tribute to the King, is its emotional & wonderful. Hed be very proud of that. It hit every single box effortlessly. Thats how you make a movie peoples, it really is.
