Would like to point out if had a busy week & this was written on Wednesday after seeing the film on Tuesday. Just havent had time to put it up yet, so a mention in this review maybe uploaded before this one.
I love me little screen 8 at the odeon it’s so cute, so its time to guess how many other people saw the film with me… nope nope right in total including myself 6. Okay yes its been out for ages, & you can go watch Guardians instead (which if im honest i would again & again check the review out people), but thats still pretty low.
Trailer wise, there was Dunkirk trailer saying that the new trailer is out on Friday (will so be reviewing that when its out), & there was this weird trailer for a guy on the Isle of Man called Mindhorn, looks really funny (OH YEA IT IS).
For people who dont know about going in style 3 pensioners in New York get made redundant & are going to lose there pension fund, so decide to rob a bank to get there pension money back from them. & The film really is as simple as that.
Freeman Caine & Arkin are all just so brilliant & so sweet & funny, sometimes you watch comedy & you find them hard to watch to wait for that big laugh. They just made it easy viewing & helped you giggle through out. Couple of big laughs, but a constant chuckle through out.
Kennan from Kennan & Kel was in it, running a grocery store. I was waiting for Kel to pop out with Orange Soda, & for Chris to mention he had a radio in his car. Everyone else in the cinema with me would be to old to get that reference tho.
The Canibis HAHAHA oldies having the munchies yes yes yes. & Dont tell me none of them havent tried it before.
They chose sinatra & the rat pack haha
There were some heart warming sad bits in the film, one of the ladies in the cinema i did actually hear cry at one bit, when one of them falls ill. It was sad but not that sad.
Its a proper sweet little comedy with enough drama to keep you going. I recon my Grandad if he was 20 years younger would be up for trying to rob a bank, might suggest it to him tomorrow when i see him. But at 89 maybe not.
Well done everyone i really enjoyed that, its a surprise little giggle to my life.
