Gaga oh lala! Im looking forward to this. Im looking forward to learning all about Gucci & how it works & why Lady Gaga would every want to be mean to Adam Driver (i wouldnt no way) so lets do this. Cinema 2 evening in a row, lets hit the fashion baby.

There was more people to see House of Gucci tonight then there was to see the advanced screening of boxing day yesterday, which says a lot. It also must say a lot to Ridley Scott too. He recently said millennials (ie my generation) dont go to the cinema anymore, we sit & home & half watch a film on our phone. There is a time & a place for that i do get that however id say 75% maybe even 80% of my screening of his film, was made up of millennials. We all want to watch a good story, with people we we liek in, about something interesting. So we provided your money for tonight Ridley, we’re you gladiator generation sitting her who also saw it as kids & Went thats a bit long & over the top, & now we sit there & go, GO MAXIMUS! make a good film & we will see it.

Trailers Boxing day (which was odd after seeing it the day before). There was the Cumberbatch & some cats that looked weird, but i think i shouted out the word Taika when he appeared. Cmon Cmon which i might go see next week & West Side Story which i will defiantly go & see.

& then the film started… & it was a little too long if im honest. It really was, but we will get to that part in a minute.

Gaga & Driver as a duo were epic. She is a good actress & shes been paired so far with some of the best so that makes her look extraordinary, but there were a few parts when she wasnt with Driver or Leto when she suffered a little. I mean she was still good, but shes got a little way to go. Driver just delivered in every way as per usual. I mean that man in that winter jumper skiing. oh my oh my that did something to me i was not expecting. I slept very well when i eventually got home just before midnight (yea thats how long a film it was, i got home at almost the next day).

Leto was bloody good, he really was. He was out there & funny & over the top & it was like his character had fell out of the wrong multiverse, if you get me. His performance was one you wont forget for a couple of reasons, one it was crazy & two it belonged in a different film. I mean i have no idea if that guy was liek that in real life but it was just so whacky after everything else being so serious.

How Gagas wig stayed on during that sex scene i have no idea at all. I mean it was a big wig too. Well done hair & make up people.

Everyone’s outfits & styles & just the way it was shoot was so late 70s 80 & early 90s vibe by the end. IT had the proper feel to it. I mean that party at the start, i wanted to time machine to go to it, it just felt so right. All of the clothes were on point & so spot on & you just looked & went oooooh yeah that is good, that is soooo good.

I like the lawyer, i was wondering what was going to happen with him, he was the only person who i felt i could truly trust throughout. He was well portrayed & very good.

As an accountant, its weird to watch a film which is about how business work &the sales & the profits & all the behind the stuff going on. I mean im glad it did as that was what i didnt know about Gucci. I knew a bit about most of the family before going in & the trailer does ruin some of that for you, but yea seeing a tax return on a big screen does make you think okay maybe theses people do live in the real world & not just a fantasy.

We randomly jump times as well we dont just go from one year to a next & then suddenly its like 2 years later hang on that kid was a baby now shes skiing? & then at the end with the definite date & time was a bit liek oh okay then. Why not start with that scene in full & not just tease it at the start. Nah didnt like that.

I have always sat here & when i hear a church organ warm up always feel like they should then play Faith by George Michael. & in this film at the wedding guess what they do after the organs warmed up… play Faith. I laughed quite a bit at that.

So it was too long this film, & i know it was because at a certain point i looked down at my watch thinking okay maybe another 5mins to go 10 at a push…. it said 35 & i was like the hell are we gonna do now, everything is in place for the finale. & then he appeared about 10mins later. It didnt even need to tell me the guys name… IT WAS TOM FRICKEN FORD!!! I always thought he was D&G before he went on his own not Gucci & i was like ahhhh yes Tom go go go & they had his show & his rise & i was like forget this id like to watch the house of ford please. I aint bothered by Gucci anymore. Thank god he turned up & made 15 of those 35 mins good.

It was still a good film, but its over padded out could have easily been 2h5mins. IT was very well acted too. But i think i did want a little more glamour or fashion than i actually got & thats a lot coming from me, a woman with no sense of fashion at all.
