Hello lovely peoples of the internet & film.
This is a little different to my usual posts and reviews but i thought this was the place for me to spread my festive cheer (and sing out loud for all to hear). Its also the place i can write for a while & share on the rest of my platforms, so if your just here for the reviews apologies but this one is more about me than films. So thanks for being patient with me. Don’t worry the Popcorn for One Film Reviews Awards will be posted on here soon.
2016 has been a mixed year for me, as it has the world as a whole really. It all started so well, Dynamo live, getting a new car, booking up an amazing holiday with the girls, finally getting tickets to go to Wembley, and then bang coming out of the cinema my Achilles goes pop. Cue 6 months of rehab for the foot & lots of hopping around, and physio & not being able to walk down stairs (it still didn’t concur my fear of lifts boo).
Then we lost the playoffs which was so sad that was our chance to get promoted, and it didn’t happen, at least were playing this year like a team who doesn’t just want it but needs it. But Coldplay at Wembley made all that pain go away, well until i did too much jumping up & down nest day it hurt.
then the week before i go holiday, i found out our office was closing & we were all being made redundant by head office yay NOT!!! worst time ever for that to happen. Turns out though that coming back from holiday gave me new purpose, and i found a job literally 5 mins from my old one straight away. & they are all lovely there (The Christmas Party was EPIC by the way). My holiday was lush too just a week sitting in the sun with friends & pub golf.
Trips to Thorpe Park, the O2 for Tennis (with Mama), Southampton for Liverpool & France (with Pops) & London for Les Mis with Bestie were also lots of fun.
So the real reason for this post is to tell you that again this year im not sending out Christmas cards. I haven’t sent Christmas Cards for about the last 8 years now, mainly because its quite expensive, especially with postage (and you know royal mail are on strike) and i try to see most people to wish them a Merry Christmas as well & if i cant i usually text or call them.
So instead of sending out cards i donate to Charity. This year i have donated to the Martlets who provide Hospice care to people. We have a main shop right opposite our office, and we do quite a bit for them. But one of the main reasons for giving them my donation, is because of there Snow Dog Trail which has been around my city which i spent to months doing. It was so much fun. Okay i didnt complete the trail but in total i got 35 dogs & 6 Pups which out of 45 & 18 isn’t to bad. I thoroughly enjoyed walking around my city collecting them so i would like to give something back to them for all the fun i had doing this.
If you want to see what its all about heres the link https://www.themartlets.org.uk/snowdogs-by-the-sea & if you want to see my snow dogs i took photos of the link is here SNOWDOGS BY THE SEA
Thanks for reading this people it is really appreciated. & i hope you & your family have an amazing Christmas & i wish you all the best for 2017. Lets make some amazing memories next year people. I know its going to be brilliant.
Love to you all
