Its time for another Top 5 rundown.

1991 was the first Gulf war started, Comedy Central was launched, The UK introduced Poll Tax, Freddie Mercury died , and i turned 2.

As with previous messages proper review will be with films on the main blog. And as always Spoiler warning.

Here are the Top 5 Movies of 1991

5.Hook

Thank you for believing… Okay welling up now, so sad very sad. There are so many reference about enjoying your family and not taking life for granted in this film that now sit very deep. Also try and spot Gwyneth Paltrow in the film.

4.Terminator 2: Judgement Day

Our history teacher showed us this, in relation to the Vietnam War… im still not entirely sure why. Im not complaining though hes now a stand up comedian & i got a B in my GCSE so it all work out for the best. If im honest not really my cup of tea, my dad like these films, and it is culturally significant. I think now im older i would appreciate it more. Still it was one less History lesson.

3.Point Break

I have only seen on bit of this film, the bit thats in Hot Fuzz. Again this is here for cultural significance. I probably wouldn’t watch or would think of watching this film if offered. Sorry peoples

2. Beauty & the Beast

When i get up to doing this review, i will tell you the nice story about this film & my family in January 1994. It won a shit load of Oscars and so deserved to. Lovely and amazing.

And the Number one film of 1991 is…
1.The Naked Gun 2 1/2: The Smell of Fear

Just Hysterical. Love it to bits. This was always going to win. Again like die hard in 1990, the worst film in the franchise, but its somehow won its year.  The Zoo animals, the nuclear bomb & OJ Simpson, what could go wrong.

There is a shout out for Hot Shots! (#winning) & The Silence of The Lambs (which i haven’t seen sorry). So thats my top 5, if you’ve not checked the films out i suggest you do, unless its point break, then please let me know if it is worth a watch or not.
