Time for some Arnie then. Lets go a bit retro & put a modern twist as they try to rewrite the terminator history & get rid of those last two movies. I mean even if its crap its got Arnie being Arnie in it right…

So i’ve seen most of the first all of 2 & bits & the end of 3 & not the other 2 so im not the best person to go to for a review on this. Go find a proper terminator fan if you want a real honest review.

Screen 4 at 4:50 on a friday whats not to like. Its the perfect time for me to start my weekend off. There arent many people in here that being said screen 4 its hard to see the people on the bottom level if your at the back & it seemed to take a while for people to leave, so maybe there was more than i gave credit for. Lots of people in premier seats paying a fortune for them.

Trailers we had Charlies Angels (yes), 21 Bridges (yes) Knives Out (yes) Star Wars (not the new one but still a yes) & 1917 (yes long time to go tho). So thats all good happy day happy trailers happy bunny (even if no Jojo).

& then the film started… If you want a greatest hits film of all the other films in the franchise where they now get to play with new technology then this is the film for you.

It had some proper laugh out loud chockle moments where i was doing a lot of laughing, not sure at some points that i was supposed to, but i did laugh which was nice. It was mainly with or at Arnie. The I’ll be back we didnt expect but got was the one i laughed at the most with the turn around & walk off with the explosion in the background. Thats what seeing things on the big screen is for moments like that.

Some of the set pieces & stunts were stunning. The best set piece of the film is the prison on the border scene. If you go to see this film i suggest leaving after that if your just here for the action because its the best bit of the film, & will be the bit people talk about for years to come, when the mention the new terminators.

What is it with films at the moment filming things so much in the dark & in flashy or red lights that you cant see whats going on. Its not adding to our suspense, as i cant see a thing not even the shadows or outlines. Just cut it out. Im all up for light & shade but this is all becoming a bit too much & has happened now two films in a row. If it happens at the next one i am kicking off.

As i said earlier it was a greatest hits film if im honest, so the plot was very predictable. I knew exactly what was going to happen & when shit was probably going to go down. I still enjoyed it though even though i knew what was coming. It didnt distract. Maybe could have had a bit of a twist at the end to make you go oh yea lets go forward with this now.

Arnie & Linda were good. Linda had a lot of heavy lifting to do in this film & had to carry the majority of it, which she was okay at. But lets be honest Arnie turned up & did Arnie, which lets be honest if Goldblum turns up & does Goldblum you dont complain do you. So in that respect it was alright.

I like the fact that it doesnt shout at you we’re female lead film, even though it is. Hollywood like to do that at the moment & be all like we’re all for the ladies, so it was nice to not have that shoved down the film goers throat every 7 seconds.

I knew this wasnt going to be good, but there were some enjoyable bits & i think if you really love these movies you’ve had a bloody good time watching this. Weather it will be back for anymore… remains to be seen.

Well worth it for the stunts & technology but not the plot or story line.
