Some times you just gotta sit there & go when in Rome… right?

I had seen the trailer & the bit in the plane & gone yea that will do… then the reviews came out with all the Brenden Fraser Memes… & then someone at work saw it before me( i know shock horror) & said they laughed throughout so i had to go & see it to see what it was like.

So on the hottest day of the year at this point i went to the cinema after getting tanned while eating fish & chips on the beach ( i love my city sometimes). Thank god there was air conditioning in screen 1.

No new trailers for any new films im afraid to say same old same old. the ones you want to see the ones you will see & the ones you have to see… & that was that really.

& then the film started oh man. were not talking assassins creed but its close.

The trailer is better than the film that plane crash is the best thing about the entire movie. That & Russell Crow who is actually really good as his character (its a spoiler if i tell you who he is, not that any of you will see it) but even that wasnt properly explored.

Sofia Boutella’s mummy was good but was not used enough for a film about her. I sat there actually wanting to side with the mummy so she could fucking kill everyone & put us all out of our misery. But no no no no we dont even get that.

Annebell Wallis if shes going to be in all of these were doomed she was far to week for a female lead & at no point did i believe her relationship with Tom Cruise. (yep even Mr Hollywood action hero could save this film he was clearly there for reasons unknown, & i think was just doing it for the money).

& then you get to the end bit & what they’ve been trying to avoid all film happens seriously what the hell & it wasnt like even done properly it was misjudged & awkward & it was no way to end it & it just left me cold & going what oh man. If it had been a more oh wow moment of a proper evil over good moment it would have been brilliant but no no no. & then the sand thing & no…spoilers cant type that bit… oh man

Also the mummy isnt in Egypt?! WTF???? thats it iv had enough

Well i didnt like the original Mummy years ago as a child it scared me, & this one actually scares me as to how shocking it was. At least DC are no longer the worst film universe out there. Im not holding out much hope for the next one in the Dark Universe, its not got off to a good start.

I’ve watched this film so you dont have too, only watch it on sky cinema at 5 to midnight when youve had a bottle of wine then you might slightly enjoy it.
