Time for some girl math. Eras tour tickets (which my sister & i failed at getting) would have cost us minimum £300. without travel or merch. Eras tourn cinema trip £20 each. I brought the popcorn (& i got my Swiftie bucket from another cinema hehe) so technically going to see the Eras tour experience was free. HEHE! We Win.
So my sister & i went to the Lewes Depot. I have never been, infact, i haven’t been to Lewes since i was 12 on a school trip i think. ITs a lush cinema. Id say there’s about 100 seat in the screen maybe. & the back row is all sofa. Which is epic, so we had a sofa & we took wine in & sat down. I really like it there.
The cinema was actually very interesting for who was there. So the back row was full of millenials. We all had the sofa & drinks & were having our own little sing along party. Being very casual about it. The row in front of us was empty. Then it was younger & older millennials with their kids or up for a bit more of a party & then the front 3 rows little kids aged between 7 & 15. Having a party. & it all just vibed & worked out well. There was one little girl who fell asleep halfway through the show which we all went aww at.
& then the film started… yea we got there 10mins in & it was showing a trailer for the marvels & then the show began… & it was insane.
This Reputation swiftie & her Lover swiftie sister lived our best lives. My sister after the 3rd song was like we can go now because that era was first so we had to wait a while for my era & then my face song. Sorry my fave Taylor song is Shake It Off. I know that is boring but it is i cant not dance or sing to it or skip it. We had a lush time.
Her outfits were incredible. Each era spot on. Her nails for each era… phenomenal. The attention to detail is increable. She really is the queen of the easter egg & the hidden message.
It was weird there was no encore to the show. We all knew midnights was the last era. so it was weird when that was over that she was like thats it im off now thank you.
What was very weird was sitting in a cinema singing having a groove (watching all the kids dance) & talking to the people around you. Thats not what i go to the cinema to do. I go to watch a movie. But i left & i had no voice the next day. It was incredible.
When the 2nd show in your concert is Cruel Summer you know your gonna have a good night.
We did miss 6 songs from the show overall which was a shame, but shes gotta leave something for the people who have paid for their tickets, however getting the full 10 min version of All Too Well was so worth the 6 songs we missed (just one of them was wildest dreams).
When Evermore & Folklore came on all the kids stopped dancing & we at the back then started singing along to that & the acoustic version. It was like yea go take a nap kids the OG swifties are here for this.
Also shout out to discount Oscar Isaac for dancing & being a bit of a dish. I believe hes called Jan. Thanks SwiftTok
Her staging was incredible. We also didnt have to wait for all the costume changes either which was nice.
The kid that got the 22 hat was adorable.
Epic night. We sang we laughed & we had a blast. My sister wants to know if shes a fully fledged swiftie now. Considering what weve done in the last month yea she is. It flew by & was well worth it. & has now made us hungry to find eras tickets again when the resale happens. I want to go & live my best life.
