Spoilers

So as much as i said i was a stroppy teen when the first one came out, i just never got around to doing university, but thats to the magic of disney plus i now can see this one. & im looking forward to it, knowing we will get a happy ending for the start of monsters inc.

oh we do not get happy ending & im gonna talk about that first because its important & its been on of the most important bits of film ive seen in the last year, be it home, at a friends or the cinema. I was doing so well & hadnt fallen apart & then Mike get on that bus to leave university after everything that had happened & Sully tries to apologise knowing hes lost his dream of being a scarer one day & he goes no its okay, i now know who i am & as much as im disappointed, life sometimes is like that & its okay not to be okay & that makes me okay. & i fell apart. Here a little green blob monster was busy telling me almost 8 years after this film came out that its okay to be you & fail & i just fell apart. Weve had a fucking crap last 2 years & weve all felt like that in this time & it was nice to see a character have similar feelings to the ones we all just have had every day for the last 2 years. So i feel apart. Well done pixar once again triggering an emotional break down.

I like how so much of the film is actually based on learning from failure & your mistakes & that you cant just coast through life. Thats a bloody good life lesson for everyone , not just the kids (the true target audience & not my sister who really is that audience) to learn from. & how friendships fall from all sorts of odd places.

When i open this dorm door my life long best friend will be behind it… RANDALL!!!!!!!!! I spat my drink out. I was expecting it to be Sully, so it was nice when it was Randall. Good old Steve Buscemi. Glad he was back.

All the different scarer challenges were amazing i loved them so much. Properly cool & seeing all the different cliques & how they all fell down due to there own issues with stereotyping, that was very clever. The library one is one of my favourites tho. That was bloody cool & such a laugh.

The fraternities, ive never got about America. We dont really have that in the uk unless you go to Eton or Oxford & Cambridge. Its just right were at Uni wheres the beer pong & the closest SU bar. Even in this film, they dont seem like a good place to be. Maybe that says more about me as i know id never get into one. If i did it would be a geeky nerd one even in my teens & then theyd see how much id drink in my late teens early 20s & kick me out. It just seems odd & not a good place to be, but they all always seem to want to join them why. American readers let me know what is the draw to them?

The one they do end up joining tho is bloody cool & would be where id end up too. I love those guys & their mum & the cosy house, yea they are the best & it such light relief at times.

When they break into monsters inc, thats bloody fun. I didnt realise that happened in this film, but i laughed a lot & was a bloody get set piece for the film & you remember oh yea this is linked to this i forgot that. Very clever to throw that in at the half way point. IT also shows how good Mike & Sully are together. Seeing Monsters Inc at the start was very inspiring too especially for all those little monsters.

Going to the real world after the betrayal to then be locked out was bloody scary & was not expected. I mean i know something dramatic had to happen at the end of a monsters film, but i wasnt prepped for that & i love that it takes them scaring adults to get out which prove to little kids even adults can be scared sometimes & then Roz shows up. I became that DiCaprio Meme on my sofa.

& i love that they work there way up to scarers at monsters inc, which is wonderful. Proper inspiration that working hard does lead to good things & that he is happy to be his assistant.

ITs just a bloody good prequel & explains quite a lot about why characters are like they are. I laughed, smiled, learnt life lessons & had an emotional break down at the end of it. Therefore Pixar have done there job as usual. Well worth a watch, but i would watch monsters inc first people.
