Spoilers!

I would have posted this review at the time of watching the film however that week I did so many reviews I decided not to so here as I’m sitting in our Cornish cottage for the weekend, I thought I’d type this review up now & then post it once I get to the outside world again #missingwifialready

I want to see the new minions film at some point, however I hadnt seen this film & while discussing this with my friend as I collected our take out she put the film on for us to watch.

The main thing that I love, which is a private family joke is that Agnes still has her pink fluffy unicorn. & there’s now an inflatable one too. Even the weird dog piranan thing turns pink at times.

I still can’t get my head around Steve Carrell being Gru. It should work but my brain say nonono not him. Hes to Brick to be a super villain. Very similar to Russell Brand being a mad scientist.

The baddy is instantly forgettable, so much so that that all I can tell you was he made a nacho hat with dips. Not good or hygienic really. He had no real personality & you know what ever he plans will fail.

I would like a purple minion please or a yellow on or one that yells out papeier or banana every 9 seconds. I wonder if it’s easier to learn minion or simlish? I’m up for learning both if someone is willing to teach me.

The romance story is sweet, including the happy bit. The fact he’s scared to ask her out on a date & it’s takes forever for them to get together. The speech Agnes originally gives at the start & then the end is heart warming. Not quiet up to the tale of the 3 kittens but sweet. Even the umbrella with the holes in to make Gru feel better is touching.

At the end of the day this is a good sequel. Not as good as the original but I will watch it again. Sometimes it’s good for studios to do an original story but why then does it need to produce more & more of the same. That being said tho I’m so tempted to see the minion movie in the cinema. I do think Magic Mike XXL & Antmam come first tho.
