No film has been on my watchlist for so long, but the day is finally here, pandemics & moved about releases to avoid clashes means its finally time to go & watch The Kings Man. & i have company, my dad announced on christmas day, that he would be up for coming to see this film. so here we are at 13:50 showing, this will be interesting.

He didnt fall out of his reclining chair boooooooooooooo everyone else does how dare he let me down.

Proper mix of ages, a real like oh okay. From people in there 70s to teenagers, it was everyones last chance to go out tho before returning to work on the monday so fair enough. I mean thats why we were there.

Trailers Uncharted (which my dad played so i asked if it was true reflection he said yes) the 355 (which i should be excited about it being an all female spy film, but Stan in a suit…. im more excited for that) Nightmare Ally (oooooh a different trailer which looked completely different to the first one) & Moonfall (again a new trailer)

& then the film started… so was it worth the wait… you know what yes it was.

Fines was epic, proper leading man & just oozed class & britishness & just owned it all. I mean considering he does the serious other half to Kingman & plays M in Bond, you know playing the head of the parody organisation that always takes the piss out of Bond is pretty darn cool too & at no point did it feel odd.

The villain is under wraps for who it is for most of the film & then when it was revealed & shown i was very angry at myself. Im normally so good at working that stuff out, but it was good & then it made complete sense, so when i watch this back i will get it straight away & be like of course, there was so many fucking signs. It wasnt as obvious as red notice, lets put it like that.

Rhys Ifans as Rasputin was a revelation. Seriously whenever he was on the screen, it was funny, scary & spectacular & i loved every single second of it. I was sitting there going go on mate go for it. So clever. The lick of the inner thigh for most other films would have been a bit much but for Kingsman, thats the exact right tone. & the fight they had, best section of the film, better than when they go to the trenches in world war one, that was good too, but that spinning on that table wow.

Daniel Bruhl was good, but not enough of him, & unfortunately now due to him being so good at what he does he is type cast bless him.

Three Tom Hollanders… ahahhahahahahhahahahahahha… sorry still laughing at that now. What a brilliant thing to do & then to recognise that on the credits as well. Hehe.

Not enough Aaron Taylor Johnson, there never is in theses films (im still lived he didnt get an oscar for nocturnal animals by the way) & surprise Tucci, wasnt expecting that.

That Goat… thats it… thats the line….

Wasnt expecting a mid credit scene, really wasnt, im guessing its setting up for a sequel we probably wont get especially as we are going back to Eggsy arent we.

IT was still bloody & bat shit crazy & some of the stunts & shit that went down were over the top at times, but it was toned down compare to the original 2 films I mean you put this against any other spy action film (without telling anyone that its linked or doesnt know the original) & they will tell you its ridiculous but one hell of an action ride different to the rest of the genre.

Tea solves everything… or booze… i mean were British so…

Still bloody good fun & well worth a watch peoples. The Eggsy story is better, but as far as escapism & a good decent action film that knows where it is in the scheme of things, you cant really go wrong with this film. I left smiling & so did my dad & we chatted about it all the way home.
