Mondays are a good film day they really are, time to see if Ralph can wreck it once more & if it is as good as the original. Because thats going to be mighty fine to match it.
Again due to the delayed blog due to blogger i remember there were a few people in the cinema to see this not full not even half full, but a few. I can only remember a trailer for the Training Dragon too that seems to be on before every film at the moment.
& then the film started… & as i said when typing about the original whoever decided all those years ago at disney that John C Riley & Sarah Silverman should voice their characters deserves a fucking huge raise. Its inspired, seriously it makes them so much more fun having to proper comedians voice them over. It adds the magic & sparkle that a disney film needs.
Although they are over shadowed by one very big thing in this entire film, which after the point it happens thats all you can think about for the rest of the film… THE DISNEY PRINCESSES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IN MATCHING JAMMYS like oh my god its epic & i know its over marketing but oh man it was special. It so was.
That & Groot answering everything by going I AM GROOT! Hehe
Epic easter eggs to find along the way people, if you have found Aladdin Lamp well done. I realised it when i got home & was like oh for fuck sake. Theres lots but thats the one i realised the most that i missed when i got in.
Its got some really good life lessons for kids especially about whats safe to do online & stranger danger & what to do & not do to keep safe online. & also lessons about real life too & about who your real friends are.
I did cry once it was really sad & loving but was true & honest & a real reflection of the films heart & that it comes from a good place & isnt just a huge advert.
End Credits both of them are epic proper belly laughs & takes the mick out of disney & marvel too.
I did kind of leave wishing they had done a little bit more with the concept, but i think the story was good. If this wasnt a disney film or for kids they may have pushed the boundaries with it a bit more but it cant help that really. Just would of been nice for it to go deeper into it.
It was a brilliant visual for the internet & looked amazing. Good for kids but as an adult, i know thats not how the internet works.
Was it better than the original no, was it as funny no, but did i enjoy it & will we talk about this film & its easter eggs & pop-culture for years to come yes. I did enjoy it just needed to be a bit more adventurous.
