Afternoon peoples

Wanted to blog this to you all right now while i have the chance too.

Obviously the world is dealing with a global pandemic of Coronavirus / Covid19 (whatever you want to call it) which means everyones life is changing & normal is no longer the normal. We are all being asked to self distance from each other & self isolate if you feel Meh & quarantine & lockdown when things get really bad.

I am now working from home which is really odd, but both of my parents & my sister are technically deemed key workers. My Mama has already been told she will have to work for the next few weeks, & Pops working at a boarding house will only find out when they know how many kids are are going home. My sister seems to be okay & probably wont have to work.

But we all know someone who is at risk. I have friends who work in the NHS who will be under even more stress that usual. I have friends who work in childcare who are opening their nursery for free for Key workers children. I have friends who work in the social service sector who still need to work & i have friends who work in retail & supermarkets who are just overworked right now.

So as much as this is saying Cinema Club is paused for the time being (i do have 3 review to post still), its also just a small reminder to do whats right & stop thinking about yourself & think of others instead.

Okay so i get no April 3rd film, i have to wait for Bond, Black Widow, A Quiet Place etc, but i would much rather wait & just go to the cinema 400 times in July than go once on April 3rd & either infect people or be infected. When i went to the cinema on monday before everything started to close, i could self distance in the cinema as not many people were there. But everything has changed now. I am only leaving my house to take my mama to work so she doesnt have to use public transport as a key worker & then possibly catch the disease & pass it on to others & then we all have to self isolate. Or for a very quick lunch time walk to make sure i get 30mins of fresh air every day.

We all need to just stop & think for a few minutes, what you do now will have a huge effect on everyone else’s life. Just missing out on a few things now could mean 1000 lives are saved, by not going to the pub, or cinema, or going to purchase all the toilet paper in the world. You yes you reading this could save the world.

I also just need to let you all know that its okay not to be okay. We can all get through this together, but now is a good time to talk to people & share problems & just be honest. Just opening up will mean a little bit more, sending a text or email or face time might help you get through a few things. We really are all in this together, so instead of going to the pub to rant about your day with your friends, so it via whatsapp. I think i may organise this for next weekend with my friends, just open some wine & facetime them all & check they are now okay.

You already know what to do, youve heard it from thousands of experts on tv radio & in life. I just wanted to spread my message in my different unique way.

Is it Dangerous out there? Extremely…

So just look after yourselves people. Stay home. Stay Safe. Wash your hand. Try not to go out if its not absolutely necessary. Look after the key workers you know. Just be Kind. We will get through this & the sun will rise on us again.

Cinema Club Will Return & Be Continued… I Promise.
