Film time yay. Lets do this girls.

I love me a heist film i really do, you all know this by now but if your new to this, first of all welcome to cinema club & popcorn for one & secondly get used to the heist love. & i think the film that started this all for me was Oceans Eleven with George Matt & Brad. & i got obsessed with the films & so did mama. So off we went to go see Oceans 8 on the warmest sunniest saturdays of the year so far while the world cup was on in  Brighton.

Mama actually counted how many people were in the cinema as she always jokes when i say guess & come up with a number lower than 20… there was 11 people she said. I made it 15 plus us, but still thats not that many. Yes it was beautiful weather but it should have had a few more than that at noon.

I also tried to predict the trailers before we went in & i let myself down really badly. We had Mama Mia & Whitney which i said we would get. & then the other 3 i predicted non of them boo. Instead we got Adrift which i didnt think we would get, the spy who dumped me which looks funnier than the posters & description make it & then Widows, which i knew nothing about but im now sitting here going take me now i am so up for that. Why did i not know about this film?

& then the film started… Dont believe the hate & the negativity people, it delivers & has some brilliant twist & is a heist film yessss yesss yes.

I cannot fault anyone’s acting performances everyone brought there game & nailed there role so well. It didnt look like anything was to false or put on for it. Even my girl Rihanna, who is usually taken apart for her acting was nailing it & didnt look out of place. & Corden too, lots of people will moan at Corden for being in yet another film, but he was good too.

Blanchett & Bullock obviously carried the whole thing, but Anne Hathaway & Helena Bonham Carter’s double act properly ruled it. I need more of that in my life. Anne Hathaway being so ditzy & stupid too that was perfect. We all know who good she is & that was just wow.

Can i just talk about all of their outfits through out, but especially at the met gala & then Rihannas oh my fucking god. I almost had a moment she was just so gorgeous & hot it was just like oh my girlfriend. That being said Richard Armitage… oh hes still got it, hes so still got it & that voice oh i would be a dodgy art dealer for him defiantly.

There were some very clever cameos & nods to 11 12 & 13 which made you go yes or oh thats so clever or oh yea i forgot that. It properly was the continuation of the franchise.

The fact that the celebrity’s on the red carpet at the met & the little cameos arent just stand in they actually are the correct people. It was just omg they are there omg them too wow. The just kept going & going & going.

Only criticism is that they did go over some back ground or why they were doing what they were doing very quickly especially with why she was in prison to start with or what everyone bad jobs were before hand or why they needed this. A little more clarification please could be good, rather than seeing the happy ending ish.

Oh & maybe a bit more comedy too would have been nice.

Mama also wanted someone in particular just to turn up or to be like they are still there but it didnt happen.

End of the day, im a sucker for a heist film. & i thoroughly enjoyed it. I’ve seen better films this year, but this was properly enjoyable. I thought it was really good & hopefully so does everyone else so we can get a 9 & 10 please. You go girl friends. It was a deserved remake & will stand the test of time.
