Im not going to lie, this viewing is entirely for looking at Pedro Pascal & clue hunting nothing else. I’ve not gone IMAZ this time just standard but this will be a nice casual tuesday night at the cinema. Also all my Pedro friends keep going to me how have you only seen it once? erm other films have been out too & i also want some evenings at home.
Its been out nearly 2 weeks here & it was nearly sold out still, im impressed. All ages too for the 20:20 showing okay no little kids due to it being late, but families with teens for sure.
Trailers, The Odyssey (looks so lush they have now finally wrapped it), Tron (meh) Avatar (meh) Wicked (yessssssss) Life of Chuck, the roses & The Materialists (got to remind people theres more than 1 pedro film this summer theres 3)
& then the film started… nice plot hehe (also if you want the original cinema club review click here).
I realised watching this that Johnny very rarely calls HERBIE well HERBIE. He calls him Herbert & strokes his head & does little fist bumps with him, that so so cute. Also why was Johnny willign to risk it all twice, is there more to that then we are being let on. Its weird it was offered twice.
Did you notice most of the places they called to help them in act 3 to check in with were where they went on their tour, london, berlin, australia… coincidence… i think not.
This is much better in IMAX. No offence to the screen i saw it one which was screen 4 so was big, but its not that size. Like you get so much more especially when Galactus turns up. It felt weird on a standard screen.
HERBIE so at one point says WTF! Im certain of it. Im so so certain. The lullaby is never leaving my mind ever.
I still cried. That whole family dynamic & all being there for each other really did hit home a lot. They really do have an amazing Bond, it doesnt work without these 4. The dynamics are just spot on & i love what they all bring.
Did that baby clap at one point?
Is the street they are in the same street deadpool act 3 is in for the deadpool fight? Im sure it is.
The visuals on that silver surfer really are wonderful so sleek & wonderful. Especially that reflection. Also the actual physical builds were so good. I do feel like the 1960s.
This is still fantastic, its the best of the big 3 from july & i cant wait to really obsessively easter egg hunt when its on dvd later this year. You all have slept on this.
