I will try to not spoil this for you as it only came out on Netflix on friday, however it is a real life story, this actually happened & most of us lived through this. I say that there are now adults who werent alive when 9/11 happened. SO i will try & cinema club it for you all.

This Saturday is the 20th Anniversary of 9/11. I was in my last year of primary & my parents had said i could walk home if i wanted to with my friends from school in the new academic year. Me & my 2 best friends decided that instead of going straight home we would drop off one of our friends home work off which delayed us by about 10minutes (she only lived around the corner) as she was sick. When i walked thought the door my mum shouted at me going where the hell have you been whats been going on why are you 10mins late & i explained & she went well you need to be more careful, i said why she moved out the way & i saw the TV & she looked & she swore as the second plane hit on live TV. Yea thats what i was doing on that fateful day all those years ago. I also remember dad came home early from work as he worked for the government & they just sent everyone home just in case. We live in the UK not America but it was still protocol.

It really is one of those days that you remember exactly what you did even if you had nothing to do with it, knew no one involved & didnt live in America. So whenever theres a documentary or film about 9/11, you just feel compelled to watch it & pay your resect to those who are no longer here.

So i watched Worth, which is new to Netflix, about how the us government went about compensating the families & the pay-outs & the legal firm hired to do it & how it affected everyones life in the 2 years they had to do it.

Keaton, Ryan & Tucci were all phenomenal in this, theres no other way to put it. You just watched them go through so many emotions & hearing their stories & what they went through on all sides & it was so compelling. Tucci also had the best scarf i have seen in film in a very long time, id like one please.

All of the personal stories about the people who had lost loved ones & what the claim would mean & it wasnt the money it was about the person who had been left behind. As much as we should love the lady with the fire fighter husband the most, i love Tom more… When you watch it & it gets to the end thats the one that hurts most. I dont know some of the people on camera were the real people or of they were actors but there were some where i did have a little sniffle & had to wipe away the tears.

I really do hope he had that shelf of keep sakes in his office to inspire him. I really do. When you go around the museum & you look at the stuff that was left behind, you can imagine people just giving stuff to others in hope of comfort or love or gratitude for trying to help in anyway they can. So i really hope that wasnt just for the sake of the film.

The blog in the film did exist so that made me go oh wow. & there still probably is a typo on page 3.

I know all governments are dodgy but when its Tate Donovan who hated Jack Bauer in 24, you know its real dodgy dont you. & changes in the law & trying to get through the eventual loop holes… yeah lots of stuff to concentrate on.

who did they get to voice George W Bush or did they clip him up? however they did it, it was good.

The credits afterward about what they achieved & who theyve gone to to help since… wow i actually applauded in my lounge on my own.

I guess it is a fair question as to how much a life is worth. We all do have a figure in our mind, but its not until something tragic happens that you actually consider it is it. I had no idea at all. & its a brilliant moral conversation to have with people.

Its a really moving film, lots of legal stuff & lots to make you think. It well acted & put together. It can never be perfect because nothing can get 9/11 right & no one ever should. It really does make you think about that day & then your own love ones & make you feel so grateful for what you have.

Please also go on iplayer & type in surviving 9/11 to here actual real stories. That will make you cry too & im not going review that, its too hard. Trust me i tried at the weekend, but i just couldnt.
