Spoilers
My Disney Plus runs out in a month, so i need to get viewing. Im planning Hamilton for Christmas day Soul for boxing day & then getting rid until Loki is on. So ive got some watching, so why not watch this, ive never seen it before it cant be that bad….
The Little Mermaid is my Disney film, its my go to it really is, so this was gonna fail even if it was perfect it wasnt going to beat the original which is jus bloody fabulous. I mean it is a bad film but its got its moments.
Seeing Ariel & Flounder reunited was epic a highlight of the film, properly like yes thats what i want in my life. It filled me with Joy & made me feel really nostalgic.
Couldn’t Triton have seen his grandaughter another way like he could turn into a person for one day a year to see her… There were ways around it defiantly.
Ursula’s sister was not a very god villain if im honest & a film is only as good as its villain. That little mini shark thing was better than she was, & thats saying a lot that the side kick was better than the villain.
The songs were okay i guess, nothing out of this world liek part of your world or kiss the girl, but they were all very happy & jolly & nice.
Prince Eric did nothing, bloody nothing. He literally turned up at the end to try & be a hero with his ship but then he mucked up epically & lost his ship & his crew.
They should of just told her about it especially when she realised she could talk to a crab & that her mum liked dipping her toes in the sea.
Some of the animation looked out of place with the new over the old. I understand they wanted to keep the same feel & thread but in 12 years atlantica & his palace may have changed.
Do crabs live that long… really
Very little scuttle was disappointed in that.
Basically it filled an hour of my time & i had always wanted to watch this just to see what it was like, so im glad i have, but its not breaking any new ground or making the original any better. I mean not that it could.
