Oh iv never seen so many teenagers in a cinema before probably last time was when I was a teenager. That’s making me feel really old. Oh god.

It was really really full so much so that screen 6 had people checking tickets as you went in there incase you had tickets for another cheaper film & were trying to get in to see this instead.

Still in shock that one of my childhood idols is now a legit movie star who’s going to become president. But no matter how famous president Johnson becomes he will already be the rock & the man who taught me to raise both eyebrows individually.

So bay watch let’s do these trailers & tell all these 15 year old I’m a critic just to see if they will all be quiet.

Trailers, no Dunkirk boo if anything that should be aimed at teenage, Harry Styles & a history lesson show them that!

Baby Driver yes, Wonder Woman yes, Transformers no, Rough Night looks really bad Scarlet Johanson can do better than that.

So the actual film then… really really funny, & i was actually quite impressed by it.

There was an actual plot & a story line. There were throw backs & nostalgia but not so it so much that you became sick of it. It wasnt just all boobs & bums & slow motion running (iv nailed that by the way thats so my style). It had good morals it was about team work & trust, & was pretty solid.

Zac Efron took his top off a lot which was good. The Rock constantly insults him & theres one where he calls him a certain pop culture reference & the whole cinema fell into fits of giggles it was perfect.

They actually just did some life guarding too, which was really really good.

The morgue scene is even more cringe than the advert makes it oh wow.

It kept itself true to the original but made it current. Other critics may have slammed it, but i think they were going in there expecting the world. For what it is it hits every single mark if not exceeds & if you have had an incling that this film might be for you go & see it. Trust me you will not come out of it disappointed. Probably the surprise film of the year for me.
