I keep watching bits of this but never complete it, never never never, so we are doing this right now. Wreck-It Ralph you have my attention.

Premises bad guy from computer game is actually a nice guy & doesn’t like the fact hes a bad guy in his game & isnt welcomed by any of the other characters in it, they tell him he needs to win a medal to be accepted, so he starts gate crashing other game to win said medal, which mean his game maybe close as theres noone to wreck his town. On his way he meets a glitch from another game who noone like who he tries to help win her game, only before then being tricked into being given a medal & scupper the girls game. In the end all the other games he has been in end up in a racing game where hes then made up with the glitch & saved her & his hero, & works out why her game is broken, turns out shes the rightful winner & isnt actually allowed to leave her game. Ralph then sacrifices himself to save the game & the glitch & she crosses the finishing line, resetting all the bugs in her game, but not before saving Ralph. Ralph then accepts that its not all bad being bad & that you need the bad to show how good good can be & returns to his game.

Im guessing John C Riley must have kids now of the age where they actually want to see their dad in a film (cant really show them Ricky Bobby or step brothers until there in their teens) so im glad hes lending his voice to all these animations, i think hes absolutely perfect. I do every now & then expect her to say Shake & Bake, but its just brilliant. Sarah Silverman too is brilliant voice as the glitch, again i expect that sweet little girl to start going im fucking matt damon half way through but as an adult with all the bits you know about these people, it makes it all more entertaining with the side jokes, that go over kids heads.

I didnt cry the first time i saw this but i did the second at the end when hes back in his game & hes happy & his games about to be complete & he says the best thing about being the bad guy is being chucked off the building because as he falls he sees the glitch winning her game everytime & hes so proud of her. Aww it melts my heart, it really really does. He learnt his lesson & hes glad that shes back to being queen of her game.

I love the fact that the bad guys of the game meet in the pac man maze thats awesome & that there are loads of bad guys in there & they all slightly freak each other out thats cool.

I think the halo game is cool, especially with the pre-programmed back story thats brilliant. & that you just keep forgetting about that mini sub plot & then oh yea where back to Halo yes. Its a subplot in a film that you didnt know really needed the subplot, but now i love it & think it enhances the film quite a lot & is a good tangent to invest in. Also the fact she ends up with Felix, the good guy from Ralphs game, is so cool & sweet too.

Felix actually could do with a bit more character development hes a bit weak as a computer game hero, oh well the sequel ralph breaks the internet ( which will include all the original disney princesses ,yes yes yes girlfriends) can do a bit more with that. Especially if hes still married to Halo girl.

The pop culture references are out of this world. They go mad at one point but as a girl who likes game & disney they got there balance just right.

Its a good film to teach kids about bullying to, & also that you dont have to be a hero or a princess in any of these films, its okay to be who you are. Dont let people judge you & dont judge others that way either.

Its a really good light relief pop culture filled film, maybe this should have been the first 40 mins of ready player one… its better than that first 40 minutes of it. Its a must watch for disney fans & a good way to teach you kids some good life lessons, without the catchy irritating songs they will sing at you for hours.
