Spoilers
I remember being 6 years old watching this being petrified of the ghost of things yet to come. Sitting there crying & running out of the room.
So as I hadn’t watched it in years & I had a morning off work before my friends baby shower I decided to watch it on sky movies on demand.
The ghost of things yet to come probably would give the 6 year old me nightmares. God he’s scary. Death being portrayed in a Muppet movie is a little bit much for little peoples.
Anyhow now iv got over that moment, its an okay film. As far as mixed up kids films with random creatures & real actors go it’s okay.
Michael Cane does actually look like he’s enjoying making it & that he’s not just there for the money. He looks like he really does believe in his scrooge. You do get some people in these type of films who look like they would rather be anywhere else than the film.
Kermit the frog is amazing as always & Bob cratchet. I wouldn’t want a frog doing the bookkeeping in my office tho, even if it was Kermit. Rats on the other hand fine especially when they do their this is my island in the sun heatwave dance, also there tidying up. I would so do that too.
I want to join the penguin Christmas party despite the fact that I can’t ice skate at all I’m crap just as my colleagues at work after last year’s party. If someone wants to buy me a pet penguin this Christmas I will love them for ever.
His nephews wife is Simon’s mum from the inbetweeners, I had to pause the film I was laughing so much, it had me in stitches.
I’m glad beaker got a role Luis Van Ghal needs something to do doesn’t he, even if it is just mumbling for charity & giving scrooge a scarf.
Why did no one else buy the prize turkey from the grocers, also all the shops are open on Christmas day wtf. Also it’s snowing on Christmas true, iv never had a white Christmas in my life so that so wouldn’t have happened.
Maybe the cratchets were looking forward to there goose & chesnuts on Christmas day? What if they were allergic to Turkey or couldn’t eat it like my dad & grandad.
The ghosts were all a bit rubbish really. Let’s be honest on starlet & waldolf were good but they are good characters anyhow. I do wish there was more ANIMAL!!!!!! He is my fave he was in it for all of 2secs.
I know it’s a kids film but we didn’t need that much singing did we?
It was well narrated too, Gonzo does a good job, he tells the story truthfully but makes it accessible for the younger generation too. Good line at the end by saying read the book.
It was an ok film, there are much better christmas films & family films but I’m glad I watched it & that I’m no longer scared of it. Next time I will probably watch it, unless my sister wants to see it soon, will be when I have kids & want to scare them for 20 years.
