Cinema club style no spoilers here.

Parents still havent taken prime away from me, im sure theyve forgotten ive got it. Its only when all three of us try to log in theres gonna be an issue. But until then ill keep shhhhhh about it.

So i shouldnt be watching this right now. I should once again be at aftersun, but 90mins before i left for the cinema as i was getting my dinner, i got an email from them saying thanks for cancelling my booking tonight. 5 clicks later & yes they had a technical issue. But at least i knew. So its time to concentrate on a film to watch. I did hoover over doing love actually & also looked at what my local independents were showing, but they werent showing anything i hadnt seen before (unless i wanted to go to a panto). So yea it was time to go on Prime & watch Harry.

Okay, so i know im not the most impartial film reviewer. I mean you all know that if youve been here long enough & if not Hi how are you, welcome to the madness. But this film hit a lots of spots for me & i actually am looking forward to a second viewing for many reasons.

So if i asked someone who out of the three younger leads was the popstar & not proper actor, who had no idea who they all were (like maybe my grandma) after watching it, i doubt theyd be able to tell you it was the guy with the quiff. Harry was on a level playing field & was so good. I forgot at times i was watching Harry if that makes sense. The story worked. He was brilliant. I mean Emma & David were too, but wow they all just worked so well together.

I’ve mentioned this a lot recently about the LGBTQ+ community & how things have moved forward, but we all need to learn more & that i come from the most inclusive place in the UK for this. Its so weird watching a film set in the past from not that long ago, when all of that was frowned upon & what happened. Its just wrong. So so wrong. & it made me feel really sad. Im proud to sit here & have friends from the community & i love them with all my heart. The idea of them not being included in others life & the way they were treated is just wrong. Especially at the point where someone after finding out their Bestie is Gay, drops them like a fly 5 seconds later. So bad.

The story was pretty predictable if im honest. Its not going to break grounds, but it was still very well told.

I also like the way we split between the past & the now, that was very good.

The last two shots of the film were beautiful & personified modern freedom for all. The only thing wrong with that scene was how quiet & empty the A259 was.

& now the review ends & i have my freak out. So just skip this bit if you dont want me to fan girl…
But…
This is filmed where i live. & i dont just mean near, like ive been to most places in this film. There was a line at one point where someone said “I dont even like Peacehaven…” Oh we get that mate 100% Peacehaven isnt the best place in the world. Its a bit like when people go oh your from Lancing (i can say that, thats where im from). But that made me laugh.

But yeah it was a Bingo Game.
The cliffs & the beach walk.
The Seven Sisters.
The little house (which will soon fall into the Sea)
Marine Parade
Brighton Palace Pier (best chips in the world)
The Museum & Brighton Dome. (yes ive walked down those Stairs)
Liverpool Gardens
Regency Square
The Assembly Halls.
Little roads that you use as a cut through, where ive been recently.
Little cafes you walk past or pubs youve been in for a pint.
& then it happened…

There was a recital they go to in the film & i was just sitting there watching it & it pulled out to show the audience & i screamed WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!!!! As it zoomed out to show MY LOCAL FUCKING CINEMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I SHIT YOU NOT!!!!!!!!!! THERE IT WAS ON THE SCREEN!
after screaming i rewound & was like nah i dreamed that, but no there it was. & if youve been to the Worthing Dome Cinema Screen 1 you will recognise that room & its weird lights & the balcony’s. Its so obvious. & i then re watched it again & again & again. Seriously what the actual fuck. Those are also the most uncomfortable seats in the world to watch anything & they have made Harry Styles sit in them… what the hell. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh HARRY STYLES HAS BEEN IN MY LOCAL CINEMA! ITS JUST CRAZY!!!!!!!!!

So yea im biased about this film. I wasnt expecting it to be everywhere i know in this film, but oh my god it was & it was amazing watching part of my world appear on the TV screen.

So yea i need to watch this for the actual story next time & not just the ahhh ive been there moments & when i do watch it i will give you a proper review & talk about a few more things in detail. But i had an amazing time watching it.

but yea HARRY STYLES HAS BEEN TO MY LOCAL CINEMA!!!!!!!
