This was going to be a Wednesday night film but then life got in the way so thanks to my limitless card i can book up again for the next day & it doesn’t cost me anything more happy days.
There was about 10 people in the cinema to see this which im guessing for a Thursday in screen 8 is about the norm really. I did however have a lady in her 60s come & chat to me she said oh am i in the right place to see the mountain between us & i said yep this is screen 8, oh she replied but theres no one here… erm its 5:20 on a Thursday of course theres no one here. She then asked if i was okay as i was at the cinema on my own to which i then said yeah im fine i do this once a week & she went aww bless (bit patronising that bit). Then her friend showed up & they sat in the row in front.
Theres a new Guinness advert with Cillian Murphy voicing it yay yay yay at last thank fuck for that.
Trailer wise, a new orient express one looks even cooler now sign me up. Then it was Breath with Garfield (not the cat) then Jamie Bell going to Liverpool & then Wonder which was the trailer i forgot from Monday(not sold by it if im honest i know its uplifting but nah) & there was an nta live advert for Alice in wonderland too.
It was a nice film a very nice film a good survival story & a good depending on someone else would you do that kinda thing.
Idris Elba is finally good in a film… thank fuck for that. I genuinely believed his character & his story & felt for him. IT was him at the end of it that made me cry not Kate Winslet. He rocked & he owned it & hes going to go even further now than he already has. Thank God.
Kate Winslet was okay, but her character was all to selfish until we get to what you think is the last 15 minutes & then its not & its oh man.
The Dog was brilliant i loved that Dog, i like the fact that they joke about eating him & that hes the one who keeps going & is still alive & that he has no name even at the end.
At no point did i think they weren’t going to make it out though at no point at all even in the false ending i was thinking were fine. That last jump though oh everyone in the cinema leaped up including one of the older ladies i mentioned earlier who yell out oh shit.(it weren’t that scary but we had gone past that point in the film).
Shooting a flare at a coogar was pretty darn cool. & the way they filmed the crash was good too.
who provided Idris’ with his phone & battery we all need one of those & why did neither of them carry a portable charger.
It was a nice film & im glad ive watched it, but its not going to be something i rush out to purchase. A sky cinema viewing will be enough again. But i did enjoy it.
