So a Thursday night, in the middle of January your all back at work it’s freezing cold & no one has any time as works taken over your life, or money to do anything… So what do you do go to the cinema of course. Yep me & the other 3 quarter of the cinema was full for The Danish Girl at 5:30
I also got to go for free. My Odeon card turned up so I used up my points.
It was such a good film I wish I had paid to see it. Yea it was that good & beautiful & loving & moving, & I’m welling up thinking about it. I cried twice. So did most other people in the cinema actually. I won’t tell you when it may spoil it for you if you don’t know the story.
For ages iv been saying this is DiCaprios year… Well now I have to go see his film as Eddie Redmayne knocked it out of the park what a performance young man made me feel proud to be British. No one has won back to back Oscars since Tom Hanks… Well maybe just maybe.
The rest of the cast were amazing too so well acted & directed, it moved as a constant & at the end I was like is that it no.
I’m a big fan of book or truth before seeing the film & then sat at the end when I realise it’s his journal going oh fuck. You stupid girl. I knew it was real life but thought it was told by other people not her.
There’s one scene in Paris that is amazing completely wrong but brilliant. But it’s something you need to see for yourself. I think it marks a key point in the film & makes you realise just how good Eddie is.
As for trailers Hail Cessar looks hysterical & that was about it really. Although the save the children donate via txt then turn your phone of campaign was very clever.
I knew it was going to be good, but didn’t think it was going to be that good. I’m looking forward to seeing this again so I can properly review it for you all. Go watch it peoples while you still can.
