20 years ago, my brain chemistry changed as a 15 year old, watching the moment Anakin finally turned into Darth Vader. So to do it again just after Star Wars Celebration this year on the 20th anniversary was a no brainer. I want to feel the movie & live my best life.

My 6pm showing was sold out. Filled with all millennials. Im not joking. It was all us reliving our youth & we had a blast. 4 people also asked me about my bag in the cinema as its Din & i had 1 person as i left who went omg shes got a mando bag. Im counting that as a win

Now minecraft movie every nerd was losing their shit at ever single line in the film. So this is a room full of im guessing star wars nerds right. We did not lose our shit like that & it was the equivalent of that. We applauded the title card & the end. But other than that lines werent quoted. Giggles happened at general kenobi & Yoda using force elbows to take out the guards & yes we did all cheer when he goes to take out the younglings, but lets be honest that us living the life we all wanted to do 20 years ago.

Vaders first breath the room was so silent. You really could have heard a pin drop. It was astounding that after all that drama &a film we can all watch whenever we want we were all so quiet for that exact moment as it is movie history. Goosebumps, thats not an understatement.

The battle on mustafar with the score… we were fucking spoilt as kids because god its amazing. That whole sequence & the fight choreography, it was wonderful. My inner child & my cinema nerd inside me were both shouting at each other this is the best thing ever. I dont care how much CGI was used, it was spectacular & i was actually for a few seconds worried maybe they wouldnt both get off that falling tower going over the lavafall, even though ive seen the film countless times.

Yoda vs Palpertine, he doesnt put up a fight. Im sorry he doesnt not really. He falls off that pod & then crawls & runs away. Yes its fun to watch the senate all get thrown about but yea Yoda after all the do or do not, in that moment he picked do not. Also its nice to see the senate, even though were currently seeing it sporadically in Andor (which now as i post i have now finished & i need to watch rogue one again).

Im going to sound like a broken record, but Portman is too wooden, even in her Ani your breaking my heart. At no point in any of this even when shes pregnant or doing the so love has blinded you part of this film does she actually look like she cares. Love you are married to the sexiest jedi ever & Hayden is fucking owning it at all point (i dont care what the haters say hes always owned it as Anakin) & your giving nothing back.

R2D2 is peak sassy at points in this film, he really is.

We all left the cinema so happy & delirious after this film. Its so nice to live out out best lives all over again. & im so glad world wide it got such a good reception & made almost 100mil at the box office that week more than the accountant 2 which was the big new film this week.
