Time for what may be my last trip to the odeon this year, depending on when & what they put on over christmas. Its time for Jumanji & to smelllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll what the rock is cooking. A quick run from work for the 4:50 on a friday always get you ready for the weekend.

So my odeon are remodeling, which means no downstairs toilets so you have to show your ticket to someone to get in the upstairs part of the cinema to use the lou which is a shame & a hassle. here’s hoping thats all sorted out for star wars in time next week. One good point about it, i get to see Taika one more time (you are all going to be happy come January 3rd when this film comes out & i stop going on about it & him arent you).

Screen 7 had lots of family in who if im honest there kids were doing my head in. Seriously i don’t need them running around screen 7 through all the adverts & trailers & then for them to talk after each main point of the film quite loudly. It wasnt nice. Control your kids in the cinema peoples.

Trailers star wars, bad boys for life , ghost buster, cats & NO TIME TO DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is worth going to see Jumanji just to see that trailer on the big screen. IT IS STUNNING!!!!!!!!!!

& then the film started… & boy does this franchise still deliver peoples. Okay its still not the original & the concept being odd was so fab in the first one, but if they weren’t as stunning as they are, we would all be sitting here going next level is a triumph.

Karen Gillen once again this year steals the show & makes the movie all about her despite there being characters which should be more important to this. Okay The Rock as Danny Devito is epic & the swap in avatars is brilliant, but Ruby Round house in all her guises is just something of a different class.

I mentioned the Rock being Danny Devito, & the swap of people & i think this kept it fresh especially with the whole Bethany situation & The fact they were so used to there original avatars. Thats what keeps the film going the idea that you think your one thing but your not but you still have to cope.

Rhys being back was good too.

The films main flaw is the villain we dont spend enough time with to hate or want him to fail, hes just there because he has to be where as in the last one it was more worthwhile. Also the new mcguffin they have to find is very random.

Because Of the lives situation that you all knew it did make the deaths more fun especially when it was for random stuff, but you also kinda knew that it was going to be okay for most of the time based on the first movie. That doesnt take away that some of the deaths are hilarious & brilliant & so well timed.

Cake NOPE NOPE NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

There were some good twists & devices used during the film which were a good way of retelling this to keep you entertained & occupied, you did sit there wondering what would happen next.

It got a little emotional near the end too, not crying worthy but it did make you think about the way you treat people & look out for each other, which is the whole point of these films to draw on each others strengths & work out your differences, something the world needs a lot of at the moment.

Stay for a mid credit scene, i wonder where the game is going next…

Overall it was brilliant funny & exactly what i expected. If you cant get into your showing of star wars as you havent pre booked, this is a good back up to see instead. You will laugh a lot & come out feeling very happy.
