JoJo Rabbit is up for 6 oscars… including best supporting actress, adapted screenplay & best film. Looks like i will be winning £8.50 on February 10th get in. So in honour of this & the fact that my Odeon are still showing it at stupid times, i am actually paying to go & see JoJo at my local cinema for £3.50 on a wednesday night. I tried to get others to come with me to embrace this gift, nope no takers. Their loss im afraid.

Being the £3.50 wednesdays showing & all he awards attention it was completely sold out. I do love that little screen upstairs, its so sweet. There is nowhere to put your stuff though unless you get an end of the row, which in winter with scarfs coats hats etc isnt so good really. Proper mix of ages too. & i had the complete set of people regarding JoJo around me. On my right where two guys who were giggling & crying & applauded at the end & loved every single second of the film. To my left a couple who didnt even tap their foot to the beatles or bowie & just sat there in silence with no reaction at all to anything that happened. & in front of me where two women who when they left went well i dont get why thats so awards worthy, to which me & the two guys i was sat next to both kind pulled odd faces at them doing a say whattttttttttttttttt.

Trailers we had Beautiful day in the neighbourhood, BadBoys 3, Bombshell & Just Mercy which i always find weird seeing a trailer for something ive already seen at secret cinema you kinda sit there going okay yea thats a odd way of editing that film to make it look like that instead of what it actually is.

& then the film started… Life really is a gift & so is this film… we must celebrate it. Want to Celebrate some more heres my inital Cinema Club review from the other week https://popcornforone.co.uk/cinema-club/cinema-club-jojo-rabbit/ now lets now see what else i leard from my master

How do people who wear glasses all them time cry. I only wear mine if im looking a computer screen otherwise the light refraction gives me a headache. The only other reason is for a cinema screen with a different ratio to normal so i always take them to small cinemas just in case they arent the right rise. So im sitting there at the end full on crying unable to blink them away quick enough & my eyes really really sting. Like ouch ouch ouch.

So i think tis safe to say i still got emotional & cried more second time around than the first, mainly because you knew stuff was coming & you were just sitting there going oh man really, were going to be doing that next.

i think there are 4 shadows references in there & 1 wilderpeople reference, for sure. I recon more are hidden as well, & that when i next watch it i will see them & go ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yes.

Taika did most of that sketch book didnt he you can tell that most of it is him. Some of those drawing are so beautiful & then stunning & then so painful & heart breaking. It really is to be admired & as much as its mentioned in the film, i like the fact its black & white. I dont think colour would help.

Theres lots of butterflies throughout especially in JoJos room basically telling you to follow it. & Shoe laces will officially be the death of me. I cant even think about them anymore its tooooooo much.

I like the fact it really is a mirror image at the start & the end. It really is. To have the guts to go im doing the mirror image but physically doing it takes balls.

I completely forgot that Hilter faints at that point in the film. Its such a little bit of the film but its brilliant. You just go ahhhhhhhhhhhh.

The three kids in the metal inc JoJo yesss i love that, i know that did happen.

The German Shepards got one of the biggest laughs in the cinema this time. I really like that its so throw away but then when you think youve forgotten about it it reoccurs & its just a oh yes…. of course german shepards.

Still in shock Taika murdered his Unicron called Barry. 🙁 he didnt deserve that did Barry nononononononono justice for Barry.

Lava, Piranhas & Bacon…

Basically i still have a lots to say about this film, but i want you all to go & see it. One of my friends already has & she loved it. So im going to stop typing now & we will get to this in the spring when we review it when its out for the world to see. Come speak to me in April.

Its an absolute masterpiece & is entirely what the world does need right now & i am so proud it is up for all these awards. I feel like me going on about it for a the last 19/20 months may have helped a little. Dont worry i will soon move on to talking about Tenet all the time instead.

Thank You Taika Waititi sooooooooooooooo much for this movie its beautiful & should be celebrated by everyone.
