& here we go… this had better be worth it. Back to back film number 2 of the night & also probably my last cinema trip for a little while. Let see how many people i need to self isolate from in this cinema. Please be worth my while movie please please please.

There was 6 other people in the cinema with me maybe 8 at a max & everyone except me was in the premier seats because whos going to go up to them to tell them to move no one. So i sat in the last row of the normal seats bang splat in the middle 2meters away from anyone. Happy days.

Trailers, Black Widow 🙁 Wonder woman (still going apparently) The girl in the window (still going) Jame Bond 🙁 Morbius which looks good (& is still a go) & some weird little film that no ones hyped about nope no one knows about it called TENET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please say i can go back to the cinema when this comes out, please dont delay it. I need this film so badly.

& then the film started… Ive seen two films today at the cinema… The 2min30sec trailer for Tenet was the best thing i saw on the big screen. Thats not saying this was crap, it was average & will be forgettable if cinemas return soon.

I mean it was full on & went for it. It didnt hold back & really was willing to punch you in the balls both with gore & emotions. It really did. Some of the set pieces too were so atmospheric & well staged & well put together in general & within the premise of the film too (if youve seen it you get that bit). The best bit was all the flour & the flares. Oh man that was really really good & i just sat there going ooooooh yes this is what i want to see in my film.

After that scene when the twist turned up i was grateful for it as i was wondering where we were going & what was happening & then when i realised i was like oh okay then thats interesting. It was a very clever diversion, because otherwise the film is over in 40mins.

Some the bit they did film were a little melodramatic or were so over the tope & cgid that half way through watching them you did feel a little bit bored. Just felt like using technology for the sake of it.

Its was a very clever way to set up if you get me & the changing exposition & attitudes in it were a clever twist too. I think we did need more exposition for certain things as to why people did one thing or another & why some people were dicks & then nice & then dicks again. It didnt add up at time & felt like two narratives were arguing over which character they wanted portrayed.

Vin does do all the heavy lifting in this film (pun so intended) however a good guy is only good because of his bad Guy… hehe see what i did there man im smart & am throwing out all my cliches in this as i might not get to write them for a little while. But yea my friend Guy Pearce is the best part of this movie. He is no Ben on villain scale oh no no but he works it & delivers & he is the only character with a believable narrative through out.

The rest of the cast apart from the second geek you’re introduced to 80mins into the film are completely forgettable & just generic & makes the rest of the film a bit meh, when the three ive mentioned arent on the screen. Talulah was okay i guess.

The thing that made the entire cinema laugh though all 9 of us was one location reference. Everywhere else had there exact name & where it was & then there was one & they just put up… wait for it… EAST SUSSEX, ENGLAND!
It was so not, i have never seen that house on the downs. Or on TV. Or know anyone who lives or have visited it. & also he got from there to London after a near death experience in like 10minutes. NO FILM NO! I mean as sussex people we all just laughed through this really horrific fight scene & just didnt take it seriously.

As i said at the top its average & will be worth another watch on sky cinema for the twists & the set piece in the flour & for the laugh at East Sussex. But other than that it was a film & it entertained me for a few hours, but its not something thats going to be a go to movie im afraid.

Bye Bye my Odeon see you soon i hope.
