Happy New Year everyone welcome to 2017. So lets watch the film that was supposed to be out in 2016… yep Assassins Creed finally gets it chance to change the stereotyped crappy video game film genre (except for Lara obviously shes queen).
But first i need to complain about someone in the cinema, so apologies for the rant thats about to happen.
So Fridays we finish work early, its what we do, so a 5pm film is so easy to get to, no real march down from the office. So get to the cinema, pick up my ticket (which are now in theory for free as iv basically paid for my card for the year) & go to the room. Screen 6 at the Odeon all the premier seats are right in the door, so to get to another seat unless you want to turn your neck for the whole film, you have to walk past them. So in i go about 5 mins before the trailers, and i walk past the premier seats & this bloke mutters loudly & to make a point enough so i can hear him.. eurgh why would you want to go to the cinema alone, people are stupid for doing that & i bet they dont have any friends. WHAT THE SERIOUS FUCK WHAT WAS THAT!?!? How fucking dare he. I did kinda glance, but he wasnt paying attention he was eating nachos.
I was so pissed off i text my mum & said should i complain, she said nah just get a pad out of your bag & pretend to be a critic. Brilliant idea… now my hand bag is full of all sorts of stuff, could i find a pad or diary, could i buggery left them at home. Fuck. So i sat there in anger for all the generic trailers.
Have to say that im glad now christmas is over that there are less trailers again now very happy with that, it only took 15mins before the film started. Also all the film trailers were good, i so need to go & see Split it looks amazing, so does Live by Night, & Lego Batman of course.
Now the film, im going to start off by saying Michael Fassbender gave it his all & is a proper action hero now, hes good at acting & can make you root for him through out. Ariane Labed was good as the other Assassin as well, her moves were epic.
The rest of the cast were okay, but it felt like even Marion & Jeremy were just there to support, at no point did i really care about them enough.
im so glad he jumped from the tower, it was amazing did feel a little cheated that we dont see him land though.
Some of the shooting of the scenes was lush & inspiring & some it was like why the fuck do we have smoke blowing across this CGI no no no.
I always try to not ruin a film especially Cinema Club where you all still have a chance to view the movie, but im about to kinda do that so stop reading now if you dont want this ruined.
Why did they fuck up the ending, shit was going down in one reality, which meant, that shit would definitely go down in the next one, it was building up we were going to get this amazing fight & pure assassins & break the wall down, & create something where people would go yes at last a video game movie that delivers a punch &… it didnt fucking happen!!!!!!!!!
Im so angry with the last 20 minutes of the film that it ruined the rest of it for me it really did. Im angry typing right now about it as it pissed me off that much. When the film actually ended in the cinema i sat there and the credit came up & said is that it!?! Its ruined by its final act.
and do you want to know what the worse thing is it set itself up for a fucking squeal. Yes the rest of it was good, but if the squeals going to disappoint me with an ending like this one, im not interested one bit.
Go for the first hour 20 peoples then leave that my advise, dont let that last act ruin an okay action film. At least i didnt have to pay for it unlike that twat shouting his mouth off, i hope hes glad he spent a fucking fortune to come out disappointed.
