Monday, time for the cinema, & another film from the 2018 hit list. God that list is getting very small. now. Im going to do it though i promise.
Monday was t
he only time i could actually see this film, Tuesday is Quiz night, Wednesday its not on & Thursday im getting home to make hot cross buns i have no time for films then do it.
Screen 6 had me & one family of 5 & that was it. It was a good time for kids too, a 5:10 film i was expecting more, maybe they all went to see it at the weekend.
Trailers were Isle of Dogs (woof woof bring it on) erm what else. Oh come on love think. oh Love Simon someone i know has seen the preview of it & says its really good. Midnight sun that was one… erm dunno pass.
& then the film started… Oh man
I like weird films, i like sci-ency films. i like films where i need to think, but this… this was too much even Christopher Nolan would look at this & go fuck that shit thats too weird.
We didnt have enough explanations as to what the science does? A bit more would have really helped with the plot. The creatures that changed (the MRS was that right) They were human then they were fish one was huge one could only quote & then spoke. There was no explanation, also why were they called to that one child & not everyone else.
Her love was the same through out yet earlier it was bad & dark & then it was a glorious rainbow?
To much rainbow & disney & sugar & bullshit followed by a dramatic darkness turn & then nah everything’s fine oh look sand & sun & fun…
Tesseracts are Lokis & noone else’s dont go dealing with that disney.
There was a romance which wasnt a romance okay it was kids so it could be too romantic.
There were morals which were morals which contradicted itself constantly & then made it good.
Michael Pena was good he was in it for 5 minutes that he was there for.
& where the fuck was Chris Pine?! dont put his name as second in the poster & then use for for the bare minimum,& also make him look like Gary from Team America.
Basically avoid. Avoid it people. This was one fantasy film science cross over that didnt work for anyone, & didnt make anyone look good for it. Its the first bad Chris Pine film i’ve seen so boooo to you disney. Boo you
