Film two of the back to back films tonight. A quick panini & latte at costa & then into screen 7 in the basement, with their shiney new chairs for everyone. I do like them they are properly comfortable & do make you realise how bad those old ones were. Best thing my odeon has done in a little while (except changing all those poster in 2 hours). Lets see if these make Downhill go up hill. Doubting it if im honest but no lets be positive.

Time for you to guess how many people were in there in screen 7 other than me…. 6. Yep 6. Not good, maybe that says something about what im about to watch?…

Trailers… Bond well thats awkward isnt it saying that its soon.Military Wives, Wonder Woman 84 & Ghostbusters. Proper odd set of films that none would be films i would actually link to this film. Obviously no other comedy wants to be linked or advertised before this one.

& then the film started… & thanks for reading the positive review people… Its fuckign crap, thats me being polite about it.

The idea & premise of it was very good & if it had been done properly would of really worked. The idea of would you run off & leave your family in a life threatening situation or would you stay so you are altogether is an amazing concept. As a family outfit we ourselves have often actually talked about that kinda situation & gone yea id stay id want us all to be together. So much so that my sister who has moved out still sometimes say stuff like that. The film just doesnt go down the right path with it.

So this is meant to be a comedy right. Noone in my cinema laughed once. I did a polite chuckle at something which wasnt meant to be funny, but that was it. A few sniggers but no hysterical moment of fits of laughter. Its not funny, its not a comedy.

I have had enough of films with people feeling self righteous & arrogant & not having any characters which as a normal person you can relate to. Everyone just seems to be looking down on us viewers at the moment making us feel small & unimportant & like were just so much unworthy to them.

I didnt feel any empathy or connection with any of the characters, even the kids in the film were just a little meh & rude & obnoxious you just sat there feeling awkward going, so when am i going to suddenly start watching what i want to see & see someone relatable. The kids needed to grow a back bone & every adult in it apart from the ski instructor needed a reality check & to be responsible. It really did do my head in.

Every bit of acting felt over forced & false & disjointed. There was some bad acting in it from some people but there were some bits where it was just like no stop now let me get off this ski lift.

I understand some of the morals & what happened throughout but it felt weird that the rest of it was so bad & then the other bits just felt completely out of place.

Theres a hangover bit which is okay which was probably when i chuckled.

Basically avoid this film people, its just bad, its just awful, its not funny & yea it can fuck off. Its going downhill & crashing into the avalanche.
