Going to try not to spoil this for you it only came out last week so this will be treated like Cinema Club.
Time for The Adam Project, which since ive first heard about this ive been looking forward too. The only reason i didnt add it to the list of 32 was because Netflix have always said this is ours were streaming it. But if i wrote a streaming list this would have been high up on the list. So yea lets do this Ryan & see how good this is.
I cried three times. I probably should have only cried twice but but i just let them flow & there was one which kind of was two. It was so life assuring & wonderful & exactly what i needed to see on a Friday night. It hurt & healed the soul.
That kid channelling his inner Ryan Reynolds was amazing. I know it was obvious when they are on screen together, but before he turns up he was properly being a dick just like Ryan would be. That was amazing. Good on you kid. I mean if your going to channel it, youve got to nail it, & he did.
Ryan was his usual self but trying to be more adult about it & having “himself to play off” was very clever & a good way to explain why he was such a dick. He was good very good at the balancing act.
Not enough Ruffalo, but i live the fact he only appears when hes needed. I mean i sit here watching Mark Ruffalo films where he is the lead & go theres not enough Ruffalo so you know. He had a lot of exposition to get through too.
Theres a Bar scene, its beautiful. Its what wed all like a chance to do.
The story was amazing. I mean some of the time travel rules were a bit all over the place, but by the end of it even the cast have gone nah forget this lets just go with it.
Now fall into the sunken place…
Some of the de-ageing CGI was a bit off at points but kind of was needed to differentiate, which is fair enough i mean it does stand a purpose but it could have been a bit better. The space ship was cool & so were the worm holes. & that 1000% is but isnt a lightsabre.
Netflix got an ending right for once, thank god for that. So many big budget films which are huge & original they have failed the ending on, but this got it right. A fun final stand, emotional & then ties it off so we dont have a promise of anymore sequels or diversions. Well done you finally nailed it.
I laughed quite a bit too, not just at the jokes you were meant to but there were some bits where it was fun & you just saws something coming. & this is where netflix fails. I was laughing at that on my own. Put me in a cinema with a load of people & the place would be roaring at parts of it. Thats what the big screen gives you. You know the jokes a hit when everyone laughs.
I genuinely cant wait to watch this again in a couple of months time. Im ready to get the bits i missed, to laugh more & to be a mess at times too. Thats going to stay with me for a little while & it was exactly what i wanted it to be. Perfect friday night popcorn viewing.
