As promised for my college Katy from work & her kids Bella & Raffy, this is for you.

SPOILERS

A promise is a promise, her kids love this film so so much & Katy wanted to know if it was actually good, or just alright as shes seen it too many times to count. So i watched it. I got home on Friday & i watched it.

Its very very very random, far to random & there are some bits that go way of the kids heads im sure of it. But its build with love heart & soul which is good for a kids film.

Star of the show is Jon C Reilly as a sheep. I didnt know that i needed that in my life turns out i did. He was brilliant, his relationship with his Nana,(whos Jennifer Saunders wtf), the fact that he was willing to help out his friend no matter how hard times got for the two of them, properly brilliant exactly what kids need to learn. Loved it. His relationship with Matthew McConaugheys Koala was brilliant, although if you have Mcconaughey get him to say alright at least once or twice please. You let me down ther film you really did. Its such a sweet Koala though, & again his heart is in the right place.

Taron Egertons Gorilla story was the best, especially when his Dad breaks out of prison (i didnt actually cry at that whats going on). I do love that he ended up singing Elton John, a show of things to come going forward.

All those piglets are sooooooo sweet. But her husbands face when she come out in that outfit doing Taylor Swift is priceless. But it Gunter the German pig whos the king pig. He dances like me when im stuck in rush hour traffic & shake it off comes on, i just wear less spandex but there is the same amount of glitter.

The squid light show is kinda cool thats brilliant, except when it all goes wrong & everyone basically nearly dies. But the visuals are amazing. Its like in skyfall when they have the fight on the building in Asia, its like that but more kid friendly & with squids.

I love the Asian little girl fox group thing (whatever they are). But that is kinda typical & hilarious of that set up. I was properly laughing when ever they turned up. They were hysterical & then they go on strike haha.

Why did they make the Llama a villain from the bank? Everyone loves a Llama thats not very nice to them. was the person who animated this film more of a camel guy?

The auditions are all really good, really really good, probably the best montage i’ve seen in a film for ages. They are all either so stereotypical of the animal or just ridiculous. Poor Mr Snail though getting stood on, bless him. I do like the fact that he ends up getting saved by that buffalo thats kinda cool.

The theatre actually looked better when it was open air. I know its the keep trying to succeed monarchy they are after but it didnt need to return to its original set up entirely. Nah they missed a trick there.

I can see why kids love it. They like the little piglets, they all want to be the gorilla, they love the songs & they think Gunter is hilarious. Theres also some really good life lessons for them to take on board as they watch it which parents will hope rub off on them (except the break out of jail one dont do that). Yes big winner for the kiddies.

I am glad i’ve watched it & it was good, but i didnt once feel emotionally involved in it. No tears here. It was very funny & i did laugh, i just wanted a little bit of something else, not that i can currently put my finger on it.

Thank you Katy for making me watch this i had a right giggle on a Friday night.
