Two films with the exact same premises released in the same year hmm. Yea I’m sure both will be amazing. Yep hollywood were stuck for ideas this year. This one is the weaker of the two, maybe because the first one was more believable & this one was more doing it for your family kinda thing. Also the other one is more bloody & realistic.
Channing Tatum has to Save President Jamie Foxx from certain death & world destruction. He also has to impress his daughter and become the worlds greatest Dad. Guess what he succeeds at all of the above what a shock. Im normally not so cynical earlier on but again i think its because i watch the other film first.
I swear the tour guide at the white house is related to the guy who did my guided tour of Wimbledon recently. Like it was uncanny except he was American. Also the guy in the film never felt sorry for me for missing the epic Wimbledon final yes the one. I dont mention it much just whenever the other 2 go on about it ARGH!
What did Channing Tatum do to his wife to get divorced from her? seriously did he murder someone because that would be the only reason i would get shot of him. I dont go for men with Abbs and all that kinda stuff a man in a suit get me. But i would not chuck out Channing if it was for commitment issues. That would be fine by me.
I knew when she said her talent was flag waving that she was going to end up doing that in front of the white house. Also they should have still bombed it, it could have been a distraction & to kill everyone, also if you believe the presidents dead blow the Shit out of it.
How did she get Wifi surely everyone can then hack into the white house and shut it down if an 11 year old can do it, why couldnt they get more messages out for help or in for reassurance. & she got it up on YouTube quickly too
I know originally die hard made it cool to have a random tech guy turn up & do all your hacking but this isn’t the 80s or 90s anymore we know there’s going to be a tech guy do we always have to make a song and dance about him.
the guys on air force one were so unlucky like take offs not good, shots going down you sworn in as president & get all you colleagues to work for you & then 5mins later your blown up. Yea not a good day shouldnt have got on the plane.
The pocket watch thing that saves the president isnt even properly mentioned earlier. Yes it’s nice it was over his heart but come on that’s clutching at straws.
Channing Tatum knows the layout of the white house inside out despite only being there for an interview & a public tour. Yet somehow he knows all the back ways & where the cars are etc before he asks for help, from Maggie Gyllenhaal of all people. She should have had a much better part. & if the villain had been that bad he’d have killed her first & not let her go home.
We also need to establish why they were all watching a film all the bad guys in the white house cinema, how did they get there what they doing. It’s not properly shown, let’s at least see some bad I’d or smuggling.
The film is okay, I suggest watch this before Olympus has Fallen, so then you appreciate this one a little bit to start & then marvel at Olympus afterwards. It was a good effort but I prefer my fictional presidents more high danger than this in films.
