It’s my birthday weekend yay lucky me. Last night it all kicked off. We were almost banned from Slug & Lettuce for throuwing too much glitter everywhere (im still covered by the way) & then i almost argued with a bouncer that now im 28 i dont need to show my id. He said it was policy still booo. Went to the club, friend lost all my balloons that i had & argued about no food. Then this morning when we meet up to go pottery painting after lunch they all sat there & said they had no recollection of last night & couldnt remember what happened & were all hung over(i wasnt & it was my birthday)… hmm not good really. So now im home on my own having dinner while the rest of my family are at a concert. So i thought id best catch up on this one before the next one comes out in a couple of weeks really. Seems proper practice right?!
Basic plot Will Ferrel lives a happy life with his wife & 2 step kids. Then there actual Dad mark whalberg turns up to a show the step dad up b prove he’s a better man & c get his ex wife back. Obviously it all defends into chaos & they all want to kill each other & Show rah other up. It end a up with them all at their daughters school dance sorting out an arguments not by fighting but by dancing.
A Whalberg Ferrel film is always going to be funny. It just is. The other guys is one of the greatest comedy’s in the world & is just amazing. This one doesn’t quite live up to that standard. There wasn’t as many iconic lines or improvised moments of madness. It’s still bloody funny & the two of them have a grate chemistry, it’s just not 10 out of 10.
I love the fact that he ends up becoming the voice of the panda that’s just brilliant. Especially with Marky Marks music back ground if you get me. That’s Just inspired. & I love how it just randomly keeps popping up too.
The bit where nearly dies fuck me. I properly belly laughed at all of that scene from the moment the pike was built that was it. It’s going to be the iconic bit from this film, except the end of the dance off.
The conversation about frozen & how epic a film that is that’s cool. That brilliantly cool. Especially when they all get emotional about it. That’s proper pop culture there.
Why did gif just move in & no one actually realise it. You know he just suddenly ended up there. I do like his voice of reason though. & it is brilliant when they all get kicked out that he just goes with his bowl of cereal at like 2am in the morning like going say what. That’s properly good.
It is always nice to Marky Mark with his top off I’m not complaining about that, I always enjoy seeing that hom nom nom. He really is photoshopped but he ain’t that’s all Mark. & i go for guys in a suit so you can take them off, but he always changes my mind.
These films air port scenes are always good they really are, this was good ground work for the sequel to make them even better. It’s worth the pay off people, & don’t tell me nope it isn’t.
The school dance is hilarious as I have already said. Just watch the film for that bit you won’t be disappointed.
I love that in the end mark ends up a step dad down the road to a Little Girl… & who’s her dad… John Fucking Cena. He gets one line & looks fucking hard, & it’s hysterical. The correct ending really serves him right.
It’s a solid comedy it really is & it’s set me up for number 2 quite well, just a couple of weeks til it’s out now. Let’s do this boys, please make me laugh a lot.
