My house in Budapest my hidden treasure chest… etc blah blahhh you get the idea

Such an odd & weird film Very Very odd… i mean it’s good but it’s very odd

It’s a story within a story within a story with side story’s as well I mean wtf inception is less confusing probably.

Basically there’s a girl in a cemetery in the modern day mourning the death of her favourite author. She then starts reading his book which is his tale of when he met the owner of the Grand Budapest hotel, when staying there. His story is about how the owner came to own the hotel & why it’s still open & about all of the people who lived & worked there.

Let’s just say that Ralph Finnes should have got a lot more kudos for his performance. It was so eccentric & so crazy but also heart warming & loving that he should have wine some awards for it, other than just an empire award nomination. He nailed it & im going to say probably his best performance that I’ve seen.

Willam Defoe was mesmerising too. He was so scary & violent & mad but it needed the darkness it really did.

There are so many cameos & odd performances by people in this film it’s hard to recognise them all. Tilda Swinton, Jude Law, Adrien Broady, Edward Norton… I’m not just going to write a list it will take to long you can IMDb it.

That being said Bill Murray as the leader of the secret hoteliers call when it all goes wrong is brilliant. It’s an amazing 5 minutes of cinema & it’s just brilliant. He’s only in this part for 3mins too but oh wow it’s fab. If your not laughing at it there something wrong with you.

The prison brake & the set up to it is incredible. Seriously how the hell did they ever think that was going to work to get them all out… I know it does but oh wow. & then they kill the guy in the car haha.

This film just has classic British scenes which the rest of the world just go what at. The will reading is the ultimate example of it I Man come on man. Just google & you tube it people’s it’s worth 20minutes if your time. If your a Brit you will love it.

The shoot out in the hotel is just brilliant trying to find the painting & sort it all out & no one wants to fight but they actually All desperately want to shoot each other.

I’m sitting here writing this wanting to see the film again right now. It’s so British & quirky & odd & will in years to come will be counted as apart of classic British Cinema. It’s lunch & should be enjoyed by all.

Even if this type of comedy isn’t your cup of tea you will find something quite charming about this film that will grip you.
