Time to smell what the rock is cooking if anything at all.

As someone related to a geographer ever instinct in my body said don’t watch it don’t watch it don’t watch it… but it’s the rock iv got to go & watch it. So I purchased it & watched it got an issue with that people.

Basically everyone in the world knows the San Andreas fault is going to go at some point & when it does a fuck load of people are going to die (almost everyone on the line basically) & that’s about as much as this film got right according to my opinion of over dramatising it & my sisters for  geographic expertise. 

Dwayne Johnson will always be (even when he’s president) The Rock. He was my hero growing up as The Rock with the people’s elbow & his fights with Stone Cold Steve Austin in the WWF at the time (now wwe). I knew he was good at acting then when I was little but now it’s a whole new ball game the man is bankable Hollywood blockbuster material. You show my generation a poster with the Rock on it & 80% of us will watch it at least once. We grew up watching the man when we were little so now we will watch him be hysterical & cool in the movies. Enough said. He does nail this tho he really does the ultimate action hero but very well. He doesn’t really fight anyone in this one either he just kinda fights emotions & tectonics & fires. Still wins tho after all he is the Rock.

Paul Giamatti is too good to have a minor role in a crappy box office film but maybe then as he has the part of the scientist maybe he brings some credibility to the movie you know you see his name on a poster & then see he’s the guy who try’s to save everyone & you think okay maybe this is going to be slightly accurate. It still isnt & he can’t even make the bad actors around him look good either. He does all his bits well but his intern helping has as much charisma as marmite on toast.

I like the fact that us brits are stereo-typically shy & polite & helpful & don’t know what they are doing… that being said how much money do they have that they could decide to fly to California on a whim to try for a possible job interview. Also if they flew out without there parents permission why worry them & tell them that they are now it would just be like omg what the hell are you doing there & get the fuck out. Also what’s to say there parents boat wasn’t destroyed during this & how the hell would they then both get home if everything been destroyed. Unless the rocks going to fly them of course or welcome them into their family.

If shit ever does go down I will need to be a member of the rocks family as he is constantly trying to save them which is fair enough… but no one else wtf seriously mate that’s your job to fucking save people in you helicopter shnnneeeerrrrdddd. Argh that make me angry 

Did kylie actually have a line or did she just literally pour run around panicking & then fall to her death. Yea I thought so too.

Why does the rock blame himself for his other daughters death there would have been another 6 people there as trained or more trained to save her life than he is. Unless she said nah rafting isn’t my style & he dragged her to it anyhow I don’t see how he can blame himself.

Again with the British guy who found the necklaces on the boat they were still round her neck when she woke up & how the hell did he get back to the boat to find them.

All American films about stuff like this always end with a presidents speech the national anthem or the flag being raised. It’s the one thing that does my head in like we’re better than all of this shirt that’s gone down. Yes that’s true but no one else except Russia & North Korea make a song & dance about it.

Some of the deaths are so far fetched & would it really happen exactly like that surely the first hit would set off the tsunami & buildings would completely collapse. Not just partial or fall upto a certain point. Good it’s stupid in the geographical response. Also how come baseball stadiums survive everything.

Moral from this film is don’t take natural disaster films as a strategy idea for when it happens it’s not going to happen like that. But if it did make sure president rock comes to save you.
