All my troubles seemed so far away, oh i believe in yesterday… SUDDENLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry i love that bit in Bean the movie, had to do it. It would be wrong not to if im honest.

Yep another trip to the cinema to see Yesterday a Beatles tribute film that isnt a bipoic. Let see how it stands up to the rest of them as they are all doing the rounds at the moment arent they. Its the in thing to make & watch at them moment.

The trailers were full of them too. A Judy Garland Film, The Bruce Springsteen one just a few more then to watch before the end of the year. Then we had the lion king trailer & then Downton Abbey (rolls eyes). Sorry i didnt watch it on tv first time around so im not tempted to the cinema to see it either.

Proper mix of ages in the cinema i would say that anyone in the cinema under the age of 20 had been brought with the rest of their family, but other than that i think it covered all basis. Probably about 60 people in the cinema too.

& then the film started… & it summed us up as a country our opinions our love & our weird sense of humour perfectly. Its almost like it was made by two of our best ever film makers, oh yeah it was.

Im upset we never really get an answer to the black out ( thats not a spoiler its in all the adverts) & as to why it only effects some people & things & not others. Thats the one downside of the film, it just happens & then is kinda swept under the carpet to not be properly or fully discussed again.

I got emotional at one part of the film, which i was like yea thats good because up to that point you were worried & it was nice to see human spirit come through. & then the next bit after that shocked me so much that i feel apart & started crying. I cant tell you any of this as it was such a surprise & i want you to enjoy it when it happens too, but i think the shock & the way it was done was just so beautiful & lovely that i just got a little too overwhelmed.

Himesh Patel has come a long way from being Tamwar in eastenders he really has. He always will be Tamwar in eastenders even if he wins an oscar, but he carries this film he really does. & he is actually better than Lily James.

The Cameos throughout of other famous people places & references are very good. However as far as Cameos Ed Sheeran is actually rather on point with all of his. He doesnt mind that there are so many times when people take the piss out of him or are mean to him & his self indulgent bits as well are exactly how you would expect him to be, so good on you Ed. Not like you need to do acting or anything else ever again you are made for life.

It was more Com than Rom or Rom Com which i enjoyed. I would say the Rom was more with the Beatles & music other than the girl if im honest. But as someone who prefers Com im happy.

At the end of this day this film is here to inspire the next generation so the Beatles music will live forever as it is the best music in the world, & it should be celebrated. So if one person spotifys or streams downloads or watches one Beatles song & tells someone else about it. The film has done its job.

It honest poetic beautiful funny emotional & not afraid to tell the truth after avoiding it for such a long time. Basically its us. Its britain in a nut shell & thats what make me proud & want to celebrate this film even more.

Thanks Sir Danny & Richard. It a lovely music based summer bliss film, that will be so quotable in years to come.
