14 years of waiting half of my life time… & it’s here at last.

Time to go & see a film

which could have had a much greater life if it’s own by now & had several spin offs & made Disney a fortune. Instead I’ve waited 14 years for it. When the original came out we were all teenager poor & too cool to see it in the cinema. But have since fallen in love with the Parrs & now it’s time to see them again.

Monday cinema showings don’t usually attract a huge crowd & screen 7 is a little pokey but I’d say it was half full not bad for the basement really. Good mix of ages to from I’d say 3 to 75 was bang splat the average age in there.

Trailers Johnny English Strikes again which I love the poster for in our cinema it’s brilliant. Mama Mia which is next week yay. The new Lego movie which looks good but has now lost some charm as we all know the twist & mission impossible but without all the cool stuff.

Before we get to the film, huge kudos to the Pixar shirt before it about the mum & her baby dumpling. I actually cried at it. It was so beautiful. I’m saying it now that gets best animated short at the oscars next year. That was something special.

& then the incredibles started…. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Seriously I don’t care who I spoil it too (except on here obviously) but oh my god I was just want to tell you all everything about it. It was the easiest film watch of my life, when we started getting near the end of the 2 hour film I was sitting there like really were wrapping this up in 20mins what. It was a pure joy.

Edna. My Edna. Possibly the greatest animated character of all time. She wasn’t on screen for long but she was brilliant & almost stole the show away from Jack Jack but oh my I love that woman. Maybe only getting her for what 8 minutes was all needed & didn’t want her spoiled but oh Pixar she’s your greatest creation darlings.

This is little Jack Jacks gig let’s be completely honest. That baby steels the show. There is a raccoon fight & oh wow it’s brilliant so brilliant. & then the training & the love of Aunty Edna & oh yes. He does it all.

I like the way how modern life is properly brought in like maths is maths why has it changed. The media being corrupt it all being for show & how the family dynamics are no longer standard.

Honey where’s my super suit. So glad Frozone was back too again not used much but stood a proper purpose as a mentor & more of him than in the first film.

Some of the chase & actions seems are pretty darn good & make some actual real super hero films look a little meh(I’m looking at you dc & that mummy monster thingy)

Brilliant casting for the villain we’ll get to that in the next review…

In fact I’m going to stop typing you need to see this film people so much so that I’m going to go again on Friday & watch for all the geeky nerdy bits & get back to you on them.

Was it worth the 14 year wait. Fuck yes! Am I willing to wait another 14 years for the next one if it’s going to be that good again? Fuck yes!
