That is not a typo it’s real, & yes I do have a review in here for this same film but who cares. Look it’s the lead up to Christmas & I wanted to do a festive themed movie to put me in the Christmas Spirit before the holidays & the only option was the grinch. I am not seeing aquaman or bumblebee no way Jose.
Cinema was about a third fall lots of family groups here to see it(no teenagers like last time talking throughout which was nice) but I’d say mainly family based & not bad for the film having been out for almost a month now I think it’s over a month actually.
I can’t remember the trailers properly as this is being typed a little but afterwards as blogger is slowly starting to work (I think it’s time to say by to blogger). Mary Poppins & Dragons was a definite but there was also a mark Whalberg adoption film that looked a bit odd.
& then the film started… here’s the link to the original review now let’s tell you a few other bits I’ve noticed on a second viewing. https://popcornforone.co.uk/cinema-club/cinema-club-the-grinch-2018/
Pharrells naration is just so perfect it really really is. It’s effortlessly smooth & calm but menacing when it needs to be. Kudos mr Wilkins for nailing it.
Cumberbatch is still good as the grinch but he is no max the dog, who in a second viewing completely steels the show not just partly but has all of it. Like I need a Mac the dog film please.
Those moose’s are cool I love them.
I love how the kids in that gang are all eating candy canes. It’s cool as an adult but bad for kids to see as the way they are eating them is a bit cigarette ish. Don’t go giving your little kids ideas peoples.
The cat that attacks is brilliant & then they think it has powers brilliant.
& baby grinch is still so cute.
If you have kids & this is still out in the cinema & you wan to feel festive take them to see this as a good family outing. If you don’t want to feel festive head for the spiderverse but this is not offensive & you’ll just come out of it feeling all festive & happy.
