Before i start… does anyone else think Mr Hudson when you say the name of this film… jut me i think but i do every single time no matter how hard i try not to. Any how….
This is my first ever Cineworld advanced screening for unlimited people. Im looking forward to the experience & im looking forward to seeing a film in advance of the rest of the country again. I have really been looking forward to this film for about a year & the fact its finally here i am very happy about that.
This is the most people i have seen (except in ikea) since October in one place. Everyone has there 2 chair gap then its the next person or group. It is sold out & it is people from every age group all desperate to see this film & its been sold out for a while. So i am so happy about that.
a few cinema type adverts & then trailers for Another Round (OMG YESSSSSSSSSSSSS CANT WAIT) No Time To Die & The last letters to my lover. all of which i want to see.
I do have one question tho why are you advertising the unlimited card & that cineworld have all this stuff at it. It is an Unlimited Card Members only event… Thats really odd. You are preaching to the converted, who have already been at the cinema a few times in the last month.
& then the film started… There are some films with okay acting, there are some that are great & then there is Supernova…
So i often talk about how me & my friend joked before we saw the kings speech that people had applauded & then when it go to the end of the film we both sat there & went we should clap & we started the cinemas standing ovation. That was Colin Firths best performance until now. Him & Stanley just put on a master class & people will talk about how well acted & how brilliant they both are & how they should both just be given a joint oscar now ( they wont but they both should). I am not sure i am ever going to see such a stunning set of performances as that. Its wonderful.
I cried twice. Standard. Not ugly tears but more just let them drop down my face.
Im not going to talk about my family & Dementia again, but its nice to see a film where they know its still happening to them & its at the early stages & that its about love & how they can cope & how you can see its getting worse too. It doesnt have all the classic signs like some other films do but every now & then something happens & you remember oh yeah this isnt nice is it.
Its nice that they both want whats best for each other so are ready to sacrifice certain things that then upsets the other so then we go round in a circle. Its a beautiful love story.
That dog is sooooo cute.
The speech at the dinner party is amazing & so lovely & really emotional & funny & you can tell this is the moment they want people to remember them by. ITs classy fun & sad & if you just watch one part of this film this is the one 5 minute section you need to see. I mean theres better acting later on at the dinner table the next day which is awe inspiring but this sums the film up perfectly. You just want to hug whoever is closest to you.
The scenery was wonderful, because it was a slow reminiscing journey you didnt mind the slow views of the lake district & how it all just flowed & went like a river or the trees. In fact it flowed so well that when we got to the last scene in the film i was like what were done really no no no i want more. I would like a bit more please.
I learnt stuff about Space too & atoms & the milky way, that was really good. I like a film where you learn useful stuff. It also showed his decline & how he was losing his mind & memories.
Its heart-breaking in the most beautiful way & i just loved every second of it. Its an acting master class & is inspiring & though provoking & really does make you think of those you love & what you would do for them. This is why this is a contender of the golden buzzer.
Stunning.
