2016 has been the year that real life story’s have dominated my cinema viewing & every time I’ve been to watch one I’ve had to reconsider what was my film of the year. This one is no different.

For a Tuesday, the first day of late night Christmas shopping in my city, it was an almost full cinema to see this movie. I was really impressed with how many people wanted to see this film.

Trailer wise, there was passengers, which even my dad wants to see now, after watching them both on Graham Norton last week. There was a short Rouge one Trailer with Just Lord Vader. & Then there was the Will Smith one where he writes to Death & Love which looks SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO cool i need to see this film.

the trailer that made everyone stop though & pay attention & then laugh was Helen Mirren’s Drink Drive Campaign with Budweiser. literally everyone stopped to watch it.

So the film. Tom Hanks once again proves he is the man who can be anyone in any film. He was on fire. Aron Eckhart too was a fantastic casting, even with that Tash.

The final line of the film, when they ask about having any regrets & they say yes they would have done it in July & not January, is perfect, i really hope that is what they said.

See i dont mind saying that for the end of the film. Its a real life story, so there are no spoilers to be had.

Im glad we saw the different ways the plane landing effected people, and the different points of view. Especially with the Dad & his two sons. really touching i started to  well up. Didnt cry though which must mean im toughening up.

I like the fact we watched all the hearings & enquiry too, you always do wonder what goes on behind the scenes when stuff like this happens. Especially those flight simulations with the other pilots.

End credits were touching too, as to start with you just thought oh whats going on there & then the reunion happens. That bit made me well up too.

I would strongly recommend that if Rouge One next week is full & you cant see it to go & watch this & watch a real  hero, who saves the lives of real people.
