Time for another Star Wars Sunday. Im still gutted i didnt see the original as i was on holiday when it was on, but i finally get to see Return of the Jedi (even if the Ewoks piss me off) on the big screen.

It was not as packed as Rogue One, mainly millennials. But i made a friend. Little 8 year old Molly came & sat down next to me & i was busy sorting out my bag & she said “daddy look shes got a Mando bag” her dad said yes & told her to be quiet & kind of nodded at me to be like sorry. So i engaged in a chat with her. Turns out she loves Ashoka & Rey & Poe & that her older brothers didnt think it was cool to go to the cinema to rewatch star wars, but she thought it was cool too. We chatted until the trailers started & then she started going oooh wow watching them all. Yea she was sweet.

Trailers… Wild Robot (im going to be able to quote this film when it comes out arent i) Wicked, Venom, & Mufasa. Not bad at all.

& then the film started… Heres my original review of return of the jedi, but damn watching films on the big screen that you love really gets you in the feels

The millennial cheer at the end when Anakins ghost turned up was huge. It was one of those moment i will remember for a long time in the cinema. & the booo when Boba fell into the pit as well. I mean we all now know he gets out but still it was booed.

Im sorry but the Ewoks are in it for far too long, we could have had more death start scheming with Palpatine, than have the Ewoks try to cook & eat people. We really could have but no. I get its to sell toys & merch i do (looks at all the Grogus)

Darth opening the film is still fucking Badass. He just marches in going my death star bitches it better work by next week.

Yoda has like 5 sentences that are his last words of wisdom. It always takes him so so long to die. & the Obi Wan saying well what i told you was true from a certain point of view… bollocks to that mate. You lied & manipulated him so he would kill his dad.

Act 3 is still bloody incredible it really is. If you dont enjoy it i really really feel for you, we have a space sequence, an intense personal battle & a proper action take down of good vs evil. If you cant enjoy all that i feel for you so so much.

Its still iconic & beloved. Good old star wars. I know we all argue amongst ourselves but still, its bloody brilliant isnt it.
