Because I need to watch one more film which is nominated for awards before I am actually qualified to predict the Baftas & Oscars.
Time for a film ive seen advertised for ages, but still didnt really know too much about, even though it was real life & did happen. But surely that makes a film better as it educates you as well.
Trailer wise, nothing really new, they are still advertising Hidden Figures… FUCK OFF i dont want to see your film youve been showing me this advert for 6 bloody months go away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Founder does look good & so does the Jessica Chastain film that looks cool.
There were 10 people in screen 8 with me we could of had a row each in the cinema.
What a lovely inspiring emotional film. The love & the companionship & the story telling, i was sitting there at one point going hang on am i watching a documentary. It was so beautiful.
Ruth Negga (or as i call her Flowers from Marvel) is going to give Emma Stone a run for her money at the Oscars. She wont win as Emma Stones song guarantee she will, but shes going to push her close, she really is.
I had no idea that you couldnt marry inter-racially in parts of America until this. What the hell was all that about, stupid yanks. & yes i know its nice that we end with the court & them finding out they won, but i think it would have been a much better ending with the lawyer looking at him when he says to tell the judge he loves his wife. It should have stopped there, then they should have used real images & the facts from that point. It would have made it perfect.
Im very glad i’ve watched this & did come out of the cinema emotional & empowered that even if your someone small with no voice, you can be heard. (unless you were the people who left the cinema in front of me who said that the film was borring & wasnt very romantic.)
Go & see this piece of art & love letter this weekend if you can & not 50 Shades.
